So @British_Airways were Paid £415.16 for a dayreturn flight to Heathrow from Belfast, I turned up 4 hours early, and requested to be put to on an earlier flight (on which there are plenty of seats) my own flight is pretty full, they ‘no can do’ without a big fee, never again 😡

@qrsupport so very disappointed, stuck at Dublin Airport - Flight QR18 to Doha delayed - not one announcement - locked out of the app - very likely to miss connecting flight to Australia to spend Christmas with family - people have been standing here for an hour and a half 🥺

Alhamdullilah after years & years & years of hard work, sacrifice, setbacks & suffering I finally received my Certificate of Completion of Psychiatric Training through the post today. I must pause, reflect & reveal. It has been a long, arduous & at times extremely difficult, frightening & lonely journey. Leaving my family behind in Lebanon when I was 17 & arriving in the UK, recovering from a devastating mental health condition, overcoming trauma, structural racism, stigma & discrimination, surviving poverty & accommodation insecurity, enduring online abuse, attacks & harassment from sources that would astonish you - enough to not only derail you but to push you over the edge. But I’m immensely grateful to God, for the opportunities that I have been given & to all the lovely, kind & beautiful people who have supported me & who have encouraged me to continue fighting that good fight. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I feel empowered & inspired to use my personal & professional experiences to positively shape mental healthcare services, to challenge racism, stigma, discrimination, bullying & harassment & to help improve the lives of people living with mental health problems as best as I can. ‘Lovers will love, haters will hate, love will prevail…’ Sincerely, Dr Ahmed Hankir ‘The Wounded Healer’

Well, I’ve just come home from I think the worst date. I think he’d agree to be fair; not a great show at all. Insulting my home, my job and challenging me to ignore a text from my son- 4 toilet breaks and a smoke break. All within the hour. Don’t even care if he reads this.🙈

Twitter feels like a ruthless place to share this, but this week my daughter was stillborn and now everything in my life has changed. But I am somehow still so thankful that she exists and we got the chance to spend time with her, even though it was so far from how it should be.

I miss the me before cancer. The hair, the energy, the not having cancer, no toxic chemo, I miss it all. I’m holding on to hope that those days are not too far ahead for me and I will again be able to live and enjoy life. Love to all that are on this journey..so much love to you all. @ThanksCancer
