🚨 WOW! Artemis II pilot Victor Glover spreads the gospel after a safe return home from space This dude is a MASTERCLASS! "I wanted to thank God in public, and I want to thank God again, because even bigger than my challenge trying to describe what we went through, the gratitude of seeing what we saw, doing what we did, and being with who I was with — it's too big to just be in one body." 🙏🏻

All 430 of my students’ names are carried on this microchip with Rise! Each name represents a dream, a story, and limitless potential. At our school, we believe every child—no matter their background, language, or journey—deserves to see themselves in the future of space exploration. Today, they are not just students; they are young astronauts with bright, powerful futures ahead. Thank you to Reid , Victor , Christina, and Jeremy, your mission is not only making history, it is opening doors and expanding what our students believe is possible. Because of you, they can see that they belong in spaces once thought out of reach. You made history—and you lifted all of us with you.

@TheresaLubowitz I was supposed to leave Rise in Integrity….but that was not something I was going to do. I stuffed that little guy in a dry bag we had in our survival kit and hooked the bag onto my pressure suit.

It's very moving to me that Commander Reid Wiseman, the last of the #ArtemisII astronauts to exit Integrity, made sure to bring the plushie Rise - and the 5 million names it carries - back with him immediately upon landing. Every one of those names completed the mission with him.

Hello, Moon. It’s great to be back. Here’s a taste of what the Artemis II astronauts photographed during their flight around the Moon. Check out more photos from the mission: nasa.gov/artemis-ii-mul…

Earthset. The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.

"We will always choose each other." Mission control has reacquired signal with the Artemis II crew after the mission’s planned loss of signal. Our astronauts are once again using the Deep Space Network to keep conversation and science data flowing between space and Earth.

New record🥇 The Artemis II astronauts are now farther from Earth than humans have ever been! At 1:57 p.m. EDT, they broke the record set by Apollo 13 in 1970. Their journey around the far side of the Moon today will take them a maximum distance of 252,752 miles from Earth.

I’m not asking you, I’m telling you. Take a moment and listen to this 81 second response from Victor Glover after being asked if he had any thoughts leading up to Easter. I don’t quite think it can be overstated how perfect this crew is for the job.

“I’m the space plumber, I’m proud to call myself the space plumber.” Mission specialists like @Astro_Christina train for all roles so they can jump in wherever they’re needed. Sometimes that means fixing vital machinery, like the spacecraft toilet.

Liftoff. The Artemis II mission launched from @NASAKennedy at 6:35pm ET (2235 UTC), propelling four astronauts on a journey around the Moon. Artemis II will pave the way for future Moon landings, as well as the next giant leap — astronauts on Mars.

Artemis II will lift off tomorrow, fly around the moon and return safely back to earth. It starts with the six engines producing 8.8 million pounds of thrust and ends with a splashdown off the coast of California and a ship recovering the astronauts and capsule. Here’s an animation of many of the dynamic and exciting steps that happen in between!

Es difícil soñar con algo que no existe. Christina Koch está muy cerca de convertirse en la primera mujer en viajar a la #Luna. Muchas niñas van a empezar a mirar nuestro satélite como un objetivo real, no como un imposible.
