Bear update....i did a tweet just a few hours ago about how a autistic girl was having a really tough week, her dog has had major surgery and sadly lost both eyes, on top of that she has lost her bear that she takes everywhere,and cuddles the bear for comfort thankyou to everyone a bear has now been found, I cant believe how quickly it happened the community here is absolutely amazing thankyou all so much my apologies ive tried to reply to as many messages as possible, im so grateful and the little girls mum is over the moon. Thankyou.🧸

Good morning everyone, I've got a big favour to ask. I’ve been contacted by a mum of an autistic girl asking for help. As a family they are having a pretty tough week. Their dog has sadly had major eye surgery resulting in the loss of them both. On top of this she has lost her little bear who is her best friend and comfort. Mum has tried everything to find a replacement bear, but can’t find this particularly one ‘Abbie’ anywhere. You can buy other bears of this type online. Could I please kindly ask if anyone knows where mum can find another bear, The bears name is Abbie and is a Snuggle Friends Hunter price bear, can I kindly ask that you retweet so that we can hopefully find a new bear for this little girl.

What they don’t see is everything behind it. Lexi lives with a long-term heart condition and a pacemaker. Her journey includes surgery, constant monitoring, and the reality that her health always has to come first. As a parent, there’s always that quiet worry in the background. Football could have easily been something we walked away from — but instead, it’s become something that’s helped her grow in confidence and feel like herself again. That’s down to the incredible support from her team. Head Coach Earljay has always prioritised her safety, showing understanding, awareness, and genuine care. He knows when she’s reached her limit, supports her without pressure, and makes sure she never feels like she’s failed. And her teammates? They’re amazing. They don’t see her condition — they see their friend. They encourage her, look out for her, and support her without making her feel different. That kind of environment is everything. Grassroots football isn’t just about results — it’s about inclusion, confidence, and giving every child a safe place to belong. Mrs T chuckled while we both had to carry my large containers of salad leaves to a greenhouse closer to the house. “Most people just buy bags from the supermarket” she says. One I’m not most people thankfully and two they ain’t going to enjoy a sandwich on homemade bread with homegrown cucumber and onion pickle as much as me 😋💚
