Today's second-hand bargain: a vintage duck egg blue double candlewick bedspread, unused & still in its original bag. £7. Just a little dusty. I adore candlewick cotton, so soft & comforting & this is a pretty colour. The cats are fond of it too.

When I started my apprenticeship in 1983, every single one of my mates the same age was on the dole At least back then they could move out of home, rent a bedsit, and start creating their own life. Now people can't afford to leave home until their 30s, even if they work full-time

@JanoidLCFC Yes it’s very hot today even I’m struggling with the heat. It was hot in Florida but it was a different heat, didn’t make you sweaty/ and feel uncomfortable. Plus air conditioning everywhere. Never mind it’s going to cool down after today a bit, and rain returning in June
