Accurately or otherwise, Rotherham's appointment paints a picture for me of Tony Stewart wracking his brains, calling managers he vaguely remembers up to the early 2010s, having lost track of non-Millers bosses since. In some ways I'd almost be more disappointed, and certainly surprised, if this was a Rob Scott-driven appointment. #RUFC

Just spoke to the BBC about the demand for ice rinks in the UK - piece out next week.
The mainstream media's intrigue in the sport is getting less absurd each time they look at the sport - from the ridiculous FT article about why women follow ice hockey, then to the potential 'spike in interest' from Heated Rivalry, now finally true journalism about something that matters.
Waiting lists at nearly all clubs. Many hours of travel just to train. 2million tickets sold annually to league/cup fixtures. Biggest indoor sport in the country (by a long way).
The sport has grown quietly, well-past the current infrastructure available. This is not just a supply and demand issue that will 'go away'.

@bromleywithlove I thought Pinnock looked a player. His balls into the box were excellent. And the 2nd ball winning was superb. Its a system it works and good luck to you. The three man press up top and how close defence and midfield were to support the loose ball winning. Both keepers superb

Today is the opening ceremony for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games. Which means it’s 20 years since I became a Paralympic athlete. Disappointed that GB don’t have a Para Ice Hockey team taking part, but I hope the athletes taking part embrace the experience.

As stated in the @netflix documentary #QueenOfChess, as a child, I learnt many classical tactical patterns. Well, it is a typical combination from my childhood - in the pics. ♟ Because I knew so many patterns, I would not miss something like this or similar to this. I was 8 when this game was played.
