AAC Wheatland way exceeding our yield expectations. By far best in my 35 years of trying. Dry start, then good rains and not many hot days. 127 days since planting.

Harvest baking in full swing. Tomorrow a bunch of lasagne’s and other meals for the freezer. Few more carrot and Rhubarb desserts yet to go.

Changing the teeth on the Degelman stone picker today. These made the removal job a few mins without sore hands. The mayhew worked amazing the Snapon ones work better for regular roll pins not the double roll.

After 35 years and 17 fertilizer bins from Westeel. Original 3 were Wenninger decides to try a pair of hybrid SS Meridian bins. Hope they stand up as promoted. Original Wenniger are better than some 5 year old bins. Have to start a new row for my OCD lol.

1st yard picture and latest with a bit of history in the middle. Had a chance to visit the mill site from the mid 40’s this winter. They’re back logging that area out about 80 years later than this picture. Happy weekend friends 🍻

@KenlisViewFarm Finished up at 5:30. Only took 5 hrs this time. 2nd 8-10” snow this week. Last one was Saturday similar time spent in that one as well.

And just like that harvest 2024 is done. Spraying, Avadex application and some fall tillage before trackhoe season begins. Oats to dry but will do that as we haul them. Don’t feel like handling that many extra times. 🍻
