My vote for the western site for NCAA opening round (six games): Salt Lake City. Good logistics, good bb state, history of hosting. But Utah would need help - responsibility can't be left to the local school

@conservmillen so... I'm good then, right? If all you have to do is BELIEVE in Jesus, it doesnt matter if Im Mormon, Catholic, Evengelical, Baptist, etc. Or are you saying I have to believe the way YOU believe? You're very contradictory.

I had no idea LDS members would balk at this very basic, central belief about hell, heaven, and who goes where. Yes, all Christians believe in hell and that we deserve to go there. That’s the bad news. The good news is, through Christ, we can be saved from hell and instead spend eternity with him. This is not accomplished through ordinances, church membership, or claims of apostolic succession, but through Jesus’s sacrifice alone. The good news is that there is nothing you can or must do to earn your way into God’s Presence. Rather, Jesus’s blood is sufficient in making us clean and acceptable before God. You are free to believe that access to eternity with Jesus can only be accomplished through following LDS ordinances, and that non-LDS members will only have a degree of glory (but not God’s presence) in the afterlife. It’s just not a Christian belief. For a believer in Christ, there is nothing good about the news that we non-Mormons will live forever in a “better place” but without the presence of Jesus. That is not heaven. Jesus is the prize! And our place with Him is secured by grace through faith in Him. Hallelujah! “For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”” Romans 10:13

Saw this from Huang RE: AI's effects on jobs, and I can't stop thinking about it: “You’re not going to lose your job to an AI, but you’re going to lose your job to someone who uses AI.” What's YOUR story with AI? Does that jive? finance.yahoo.com/news/nvidia-ce…

Last night, my 17 year old daughter looked at me and said, “I wish they taught us more about motherhood in Young Women. Isn’t that the most important thing we’ll ever do?” I can’t even express how much I love her. She is wise beyond her years and understands what many take a long time to learn.

What movies do you think have the most LDS themes without specifically being an LDS movie? Here’s 2 I find to be very Gospel themed: 1. Lord of the Rings 2. The Lion King What are some of your favorites?

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

He is absolutely right. BYU will NEVER EVER give up control to a bunch of investors. But, they have access to something way more valuable and will only galvanize the church's control over athletics even more. Can anyone guess what that is???

You know what bothers me.. I know “about” Jesus but I don’t “know” him. How can I know him? How do I get to truly have a relationship with him? What defines a true relationship? This is what is running through my mind as I sit here drinking my coffee, trying to have a good day

and secondly, this article? The reason people subscribe to TV is... TV? I get you're trying to promote LIVE programming as a way forward. But really? That's not groundbreaking by any stretch.

I.Hate.Taxes. I have to figure out a way to work more so I can pay the taxes I owe for 2025. But that income will be taxed, so I'll have to work more to pay for the extra money I'll earn to pay the taxes I'll have to pay on that money. And so one and so forth. What are we doing?

@Primary_Pianist Very interesting observation! I, too, have noticed my own family members say, "I was never taught that," when I know for a fact I taught them that personally. But they forget. Or choose not to remember.

Having several members of my immediate family that have left the church, usually in anger over some perceived wrong doing, I have always found it fascinating how quickly knowledge is removed from their brains. This usually results in comments like, “the church hid this from its members”. Even when it’s obvious the church hasn’t hid anything. Like, I know you were in seminary or Sunday school with me on multiple occasions when this stuff was discussed. I’m starting to believe this removal of knowledge is the Lord’s work. A protection mechanism of sorts to allow for greater mercy when they move to come back maybe?

@JakeLeei Here's my take...Sunday School teachers should be leading discussions not preparing lessons. Just guide the discussion by the Spirit. Still takes plenty of prep to do it right.

My advice: if you’re like me and teaching gospel doctrine, lean into this. Cut the fluff. No more recapping full lessons. Prayerfully identify 1-2 doctrinal points. Go deep into them. You don’t need an hour to make an impact. Ask good questions and let the spirit guide you.

Just go back to 3 hour church or shorten sacrament meeting if you want to meet each class/quorum each week… 25 minutes isn’t enough to have a real meaningful lesson in either class.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints@Ch_JesusChrist

In advance of the upcoming general conference leadership session (April 2, 2026), The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced upcoming adjustments to the Sunday class meeting schedule to support members in their efforts to be lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. The adjustments will strengthen gospel learning in homes and congregations throughout the world. Beginning September 6, 2026, the alternating weekly schedule for Sunday School and quorum or class meetings will be replaced. Under the updated schedule: • Sunday School, Relief Society, elders quorum, Young Women and Aaronic Priesthood quorum meetings will be held each week. • Sacrament meeting will continue to be 60 minutes, followed by brief transition periods. • Sunday School and quorum and class meetings will each be 25 minutes. • Primary will continue every Sunday and will be 55 minutes, held while adults and youth attend their respective classes. • Where local circumstances necessitate, units may begin with Primary and quorum and class meetings and conclude with sacrament meeting. @adamrfrank @itschappy I'm struggling with this one. 25 minutes isn't enough time to teach doctrine in context. I'm thinking I'll have to choose a single principle from the week's Come Follow Me and call it good.

@itschappy I would love to be a Sunday School or EQ teacher in this format. Get right to the heart of the lesson immediately. I think this can focus us on the most important things each week.
