@JaredGates02 I agree. Would be stupid not too. But that’s not exactly what I’m getting at.
Let me rephrase the question.
Do you think leaving a lot of runners on base be a characteristic of a high run production offense or low run production offense?

Someone explain yourself…I’m dying to hear your vote and reason. Please humor me.

@PlayedNobody @aaronfitt Facts. I know I wasn’t the only one screaming at my TV, “WHY ARE THEY PITCHING TO HIM?”
English

@JaredGates02 @aaronfitt Not just their best hitter. One of the premier hitters in the entire sport. This guy is tying himself in knots trying to defend an indefensible decision
English

Don't love that either -- then you lose the game on an HBP or a walk. It's not like Honeycutt's invincible, he has 80 strikeouts this year. I think UVa's decision to pitch to him was totally defensible. It just didn't work out, because he got a big hit with two strikes.
Jared Gates@JaredGates02
@aaronfitt Could’ve walked both of them
English

@aaronfitt Casey Cook maybe beats you also or even Parks Harber. But I can sleep better at night knowing I didn’t give Honeycutt a chance to beat me
English

We had this debate in the press box—I thought it made sense to pitch to Honeycutt, who was 0-for-4 today. Casey Cook behind him was 3-for-4, has looked great. Honeycutt's ABs hadn't been anything special, and he's plenty pitchable. But, of course, he's also got that clutch gene.

@aaronfitt Why even pitch to him in that situation? Crazy move by Virginia

@JaredGates02 @TJHannam10 No one struggles with getting there front foot down, no one has hit on one leg, I agree that a player getting there “foot down” on time has more to do with when they start there load. Many of the players who get this yelled at them in practice actually just start there load late
English

@mjm12677 @TJHannam10 Oh lol a lot of people I believe 🤣 I didn’t know you could pull off-speed until college 🤣
English

@JaredGates02 @TJHannam10 Yeah, I agreed with you… who the f is saying to take an off speed pitch oppo?
English

@JaredGates02 @TJHannam10 Drive off speed the other way? lol… if kid has legit secondary pitches, go the other way is the approach… fastballs oppo and off speed pull/middle
English

@jason_turner8 @TJHannam10 It’s impossible to swing with your foot still in the air. I understand the cue is to make sure you’re loaded early, so I say “get your front foot UP early” & make sure you’re loading early. The front foot will go down when you trigger the swing. And you’ll be ready to swing!
English

@jason_turner8 @TJHannam10 As long the hitter understands any cue and it works than anything and everything can be good! I’m just saying in general, getting your front foot down early causes a lot of hitters to get “stuck” imo. How many swings have you seen with a kids foot still in the air? 0. (Pt 1)
