People need to understand this isn’t high school anymore. These characters have grown, changed, and moved on in certain ways. What Cassie did years ago was obviously wrong, but compared to some of the things Nate, Maddy, and the other characters have done, it’s not even close to the worst thing that’s happened in the show. The point is Maddy has clearly chosen to emotionally block that situation out and focus on business instead. That’s why Cassie calling Maddy her best friend doesn’t sound crazy to me. They genuinely used to be extremely close. I think viewers are too stuck on the cheating storyline while the characters themselves are dealing with much bigger issues now. Maddy is acting like she’s opening all these opportunities and business doors for Cassie, so from Cassie’s perspective it makes sense to think the friendship still exists in some form. As the audience, we can tell Maddy is partly using Cassie, but there’s also clearly a part of her that Maddy misses their connection too.

They're still so sweet to each other to this day. I love how Destiny's Child ended up. Usually, when groups break up, there's some major fight or tragedy, but I feel like they were just all destined for bigger things.

Totally agree. Beyoncé doesn’t have nan song where she is the SOLE writer. I’m sure she has great ideas and has other songwriters flesh them out or have songs presented to her and she changes a verse and add things to her liking but Bey is not a writer let’s be real.
