@davemeltzerWON Not to mention I just put on a random Harley Race match as a refresh and it ends with a piledriver with its also the targeted move to end the match by Harley as he goes for it early and the guy Spike Huber counters it rather than taking it and kicking out at 2.

You do know in almost every Harley Race TV squash match the enhancement guy kicked out of a piledriver Harley's gimmick a world champion in squashes was to show he new every move in the book, so guys had to kick out of every suplex, salto and piledriver until he hit the stalling vertical which was his TV finisher.

@davemeltzerWON I'm sorry but this is silly. The piledriver holds no wait behind it anymore. What was once a move you could use to write someone off TV for months has become the new superkick mid match for a cheap pop. I was fully invested in FTR VS Cope and Cage until piledrivers are flying.

@davemeltzerWON So this is before it was "banned" in certain circles and gained the natural story telling I'm talking about? Wouldn't it make more sense to lean into the story of the move and protect that than throw it around and devalue it back to a transition move?

@TheClickPit @davemeltzerWON Never said that once my friend finisher spam is just as bad not everyone is tribal about wrestling. Some of us believe that when a move has natural storytelling you work into it not throw it out the window for cheap pops.

I was complimenting the piledriver, it is awesome. It’s so awesome, Mark Davis & Tony Khan should protect it. I have been saying that since Mark has been doing it in AEW. Save it for someone kicking out of it on a big PPV match.
