🧵 TL;DR We're about to be delisted from the Meta store (AppLab) for no compliancy with their internal policy.
👉 This is a common issue we, as actors/builders in the blockchain industry, are facing many times and show how the
Revomon is a pioneer in the #web3 gaming space, especially in #virtualreality. The game is free to play with 'opt in' web3 elements accessible through our DAPP. We view this as similar to DLC and the approach is central to our ethos; we want to create a fun gaming experiences and give people access to web3 features if they want to explore them.
👉 This is our strategy to onboard web2 players in web3 without boundaries.
We were delighted when @Meta added us to their store earlier this year. There is a digital property revolution taking place and we believed Meta were exploring how they can be part of it, going big into the #metaverse. We are disappointed to see them reversing the decision.
Revomon are happy to discuss with the @MetaQuestGaming how free to play web3 games can fit into their ecosystem. For now it looks like we will be removed from the store.
We will of course remain accessible through @SideQuestVR which stays the most popular (unofficial) VR library thanks(/due) to the non-adapted internal policies of the official stores towards the new releases of the video game industry.
