ALL-STAR 2nd Team Selections S - Jaron Hodson (Folsom) S - Jaylon Mays (Lincoln) @JaronHodson, @FolsomBulldogFB, @Passing_Academy, @aircontrol_jay, @LHSTrojanPride Senior Jaylon Mays has been a leader of the Lincoln of Stockton football team this season. He is a solid tackler and is excellent in coverage and can stop the run. With 5 picks and 8 passes defensed to pair with 2 caused fumbles and 59 tackles, he is all over the field and can do it all. If Lincoln hopes to win in the playoffs it will be his stellar play that is a big piece of why it happens. The Sac State commit plays for Folsom, and because of the talent he is surrounded by his stats don’t jump off the page, however, anyone that watches Jaron Hodson plays knows that he covers the whole field and is an incredibly intelligent player that takes good angles in pursuit, can make up ground with speed, and is excellent in run support and blitzing opportunities. He is a hard hitter that can create fumbles and can cover TE and WR alike in coverage without contact penalties. This year Folsom has an elite defense to go along with its elite offense and Hodson is one of the reasons.
