A message from Michel Bauwens: dear friends, I I have unfortunately experienced a stroke (triple) and still in the Chulalonghuhornh hospital. At this stage, I cannot assess whether I can would be able to go back to the type acvitities I have engaged myself since 2005. My brain function right now is very slow and meticulous, we will see how it evolves. This is the minimal amount of information that I can pass on. Fortunutaly my wife and family have moliblized. I'm working on a whitepaper for @Logos_network atm that you might also be interested in, its not about governance per se but more about how these systems should be designed based on lessons from 1978, which have huge implications for the provisioning of governance by these systems

Spending more time recently going further into my research on governance, specifically decentralised governance design. This topic first sparked my interest during the NFT bullrun a few years ago. The more I study governance frameworks, functions and system design, the more I see that a lot of the crypto industry has either: a. Largely neglected governance design in favour of shipping fast or capturing/catering to market trends or b. Simply doesn't understand (or even fully believe in) decentralised governance Outside of trending narratives and moat predictions for the next bull run, I think a deeper conversation around operational frameworks and governance structures needs to be had, because at this stage institutional participation is no longer theoretical or aspirational for the industry; it is observable, and increasingly structural. Going to deep dive with a few posts starting this week! Currently reading Farewell to Westphalia by @jarradhope_ and Peter Ludlow; this is a must-read!

I just finished a 50 page essay for Cadell Last's new upcoming book of readings from the Philosophy Portal: (i'm guessing this is one of the topics I will discuss with Sterlin: * Why the world may not be just entropic after all "Drawing on a synthesis of macro-history (Karatani, Whitaker, Turchin), relational sociology (Fiske), critical realism (Bhaskar), and integral theory (Wilber), the essay introduces key P2P concepts: stigmergy as a third coordination mechanism alongside markets and command; trialectical strategies as an alternative to dialectical class struggle; the "pulsation of the commons" as a macro-historical pattern; and the "Archipelago of Regenerative Projects" as a strategic model for trans-local, commons-based coordination. The essay concludes by positioning AI as a potential enabler to make the non-human more visible to participatory decision-making, and by articulating a "Third Narrative" that integrates entropic constraints with extropic evolution."
