@murderersmaze Sarah this is not good, they run a real risk over debolping to many storylines. Also why if they need more arebt they devolping Caitilins she has an love affair with Archie in the book and it provides a lot of comic relief.

@teroandperdita @roywexler I really wanted them to change this part of the Jilly world. Taggie and Rupert is written in a very 80s way. And it seemed they were modernizing their charcters with how much Taggie grew a backbone in series 1. This is like 10 steps back.

@teroandperdita I was really hoping they would change it more from the books. When it comes to Taggie being in the background and just waiting around for Rupert. I dont think its a coincedence that Tags most loved scenes in the book is the hunt ball where she lets her hair down.

plus wanting a character notorious for his appetite to suddenly be celibate is crazy work. a lot of rupert's development will come from that misalignment of physical impulse v. emotional intent. it doesn't detract from his love for taggie, rather intensifies it albeit unhealthily
