@VintageRockN_85 What a fun thread to read!!! Just for fun, a few that I didn't see listed here (or maybe I missed them):
Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone
Joni Mitchell - Help Me
Billy Joel - Just the Way You Are

@CapexAndChill Right, there must be plenty of bears. Institutions, algorithms perhaps. Just no bears to be found anywhere on Twitter, which is too bad.
Great analysis, by the way. Thank you for your posts.

@Jason04327887 There are plenty of bears imo. The general reason its down is because wall street is worried about competition and margins. Imo this is hyper-focused on the competition in Brazil, which only accounts for about half revenues

It is even crazier when you realize that $MELI is beating $AMZN in every Latin American region they operate in and its really not even close.
Mexico is supposed to be the most competitive region for Amazon. And geographically speaking MELI should be at a complete disadvantage going against Amazon, bordering their home turf.
It's really not that simple. MELI opened a fulfillment center in Texas in 2024. This allows MELI to dominate in cross-border trade in Mexico from the US and China. They are quickly gaining a structural advantage in Mexico and the rest of LatAm by being able to provide the widest variety in products by streamlining the global supply chain into their proprietary logistics network.
Then let's take a look at where we are in 2026. We are waiting on MBI approval for MELI in Mexico so it can operate as a fully licensed bank. It is already growing its credit card portfolio rapidly in Mexico, which is easing ecom adoption and also increasing frequency and retention. Once they are able to function as a full bank for their ecosystem users the entire loop will be closed and MELI will definitely pull away even further from Amazon in its most highly regarded Latin American region.
Now we cannot forget that Amazon is still a great biz and also has high margin AWS. But MELI's high margin banking business with a huge TAM just seems to be extremely appealing. Especially at current multiples. It is growing faster than market rate at both ecom and banking in its region where the market rate is very high to begin with.

$MELI and $AMZN now have the same P/S ratio But Mercado Libre is growing revenue 44.5% YoY vs Amazon at 13.6%

@PropheticVal These are all great. Real ingredients also. Time to make some marinated grilled salmon and Japanese rice!
English

@linglingfool Asking the same question. Seems like everything was pretty much in line with expectations, I didn't see anything particularly positive or negative from what we already know.
English

@travelingflying Absolutely true. I would PREFER the waitress over the corporate executive, and it's not even close.

@coookwithchris Looks great!! Thank you so much for sharing.
Would this be as good (or better) if I used a smoker, rather than baking? Or would baking be the preferred method for this?

Dutch Meadows Farm Turkey Recipe:
This is by far the best turkey I've ever made and I will never make a turkey another way again!
We will start with an overnight wet brine:
3.5 cups apple cider
1.5 cups maple sugar (or regular sugar)
1 cup salt
3 tbsp peppercorns
5 bay leaves
4 sprigs rosemary
4 whole garlic cloves, smashed
Peels of three oranges
Water (enough to cover the turkey)
Add all the ingredients to a large stock pot and bring to a boil. Boil until the salt and sugar dissolve, then let cool COMPLETELY (this can take a while, so plan accordingly)
Submerge the turkey, and refrigerate overnight
When you are ready to cook, wash all the excess salt off with cold water, then pat completely dry.
Place in a roasting pan and rub the entire outside with butter. Stuff cavity with herbs (I like sage, rosemary and thyme here), onion, garlic, bay leaves, and orange peels and generously season the outside and cavity with salt and pepper.
Turn oven temperature to 350°F. Turkey should cook approximately 13 minutes per pound (but always check the internal temperature to be safe).
Every 30 minutes or so, baste the turkey with it's own fat/juices. Let rest for a solid 20-30 minutes before cutting!
This is BY FAR the best turkey I've ever had! The original recipe is from Dutch Meadows Farm but I tweaked it a little to my own preference.
Let me know if you have any questions!

@wjmccarthy @ranchoimages Such an exciting company! Does anyone know if the SBC Commerce deal fell out, or is that still potentially in play?

@tempebarstool Bandersnatch!! Plenty of other great ones, but to me this one has to take the top spot.

@orrdavid @kndistressed Gungho is near a 52-week low, despite Gravity being up. Maybe a bit of a valuation disconnect happening? I own both, but would maybe lean towards Gungho over Gravity at the moment, in part because of that.
English

@kndistressed However, Gung Ho it's incredibly hard to lose money even with a bit less upside.

@jenstilmanydots It looks like there's been a lot of insider buying recently
