I have received confirmation that my account strike was indeed due to making a video about the volatility exploit and using it during the interlude season and the strike against my account will stand. Very disappointed with the decision here.

@ATRIUM_ONE That was their words, not mine. If you actually watched my video about it I never called it an exploit a single time, because it’s NOT an exploit. It’s how the rating formula they chose to use for GBL functions by design.

@Jason2890PoGo You're using an exploit, yes, they're lazy for not fixing it. However, you agree to their TOS which states you can't use exploits. The bans are warranted man.

@Anon_a_mus I agree, but I’m guessing they only one have singular warning screen and show it to everyone that gets a warning regardless of the reason. Customized warning screens showing the actual offense would be nice though.

@RexProfessor @iSupportPluto Exactly. Niantic has been aware of this issue with Glicko-2 for 5+ years at this point and haven’t made moves to fix it. Bringing attention to it again was important to me in the wake of integrating CP with leaderboard placement. I care about competitive integrity.

Wow…just met with neurosurgeon and he’s going to operate on my back around July. Said I have multiple herniated discs and two are calcified so they can only heal with surgery, which could paralyze me. Or they could not do surgery and that could paralyze me harder🥳😃 so surgery!

@HipWhop @jerryqiao @IlqmPoGO @galaxkobolten Granted, I'm not saying all of those people should have been punished also; It's just difficult to justify strking *my* account when they have a long history of letting these things slide for the sake of the greater good.

@HipWhop For a few examples, @jerryqiao was not punished when he initially brought this issue to light. @IlqmPoGO was not punished when he made a video about the "ilqm exploit" to mitigate 1t lag. @galaxkobolten was not punished when he made a video showing how to do the stall exploit.

@TrevorJamesWHOA You can submit a support ticket (which is what I did as well), but I'm skeptical of whether it'll end up in the right place for appropriate action to be taken. Making an informative video about the glitches/exploits has always been the standard up until this point.

@MovementScotty @cafelebee @NianticLabs @scopely That’s the standard screen for 1st strikes on accounts regardless of what you get them for. They don’t have a specific “volatility exploit” warning screen.

They decided to give me a warning too, even though I only did the volatility exploit during the unranked interlude season to draw attention to the glaring flaw in @NianticLabs and @scopely’s rating system in GBL. Serves me right for trying to preserve competitive integrity 🙄

@MovementScotty @cafelebee @NianticLabs @scopely I cannot divulge that information since I got it from an inside source, but I did share a screenshot showing that my appeal was denied and my strike will stand in another post. Besides, the burden of proof would be on you for making the (incorrect) claim that my ban was false.

@Jason2890PoGo @cafelebee @NianticLabs @scopely None of your post show any proof of what you just said to me. All of your posts are showing the standard automated “refrain from behavior” strike warnings. Where did they say we are punishing you for your volatility exploit??

If anything, let my situation serve as a warning to other content creators to avoid showcasing gamebreaking glitches/exploits. I was informed that this will be standard going forward, even if the intentions behind showcasing it is for the purpose of fixing said glitches.

@cafelebee @Jason2890PoGo @NianticLabs @scopely Its just a false ban. If they dont use software they are in a group with others falsely ban because of the pre go fest ban wave. This was featured in a few videos and is an active conversation with other users who dont use software including myself. It should be reversed
