Honestly, fair critique. I deserve this one.

@JeffSpiegel What happend to the "trust the dodgers staff" narrative you were talking about yesterday with Kim ?
English

@JeffSpiegel If they continue to say he’s going to be part of the rotation, that would be a good time to start trying to figure out the WHY, right?
English

Roki Sasaki threw 30 pitches and landed just eight in the zone for the Dodgers in the first (0 IP, 3 BB, 1 HBP).
On seven swings against his fastball, he got zero whiffs. The pitch also netted zero called strikes.
Is the experiment at the big league level about to be on pause??

Uh

@JasonAmadi @lthomasnews I'm used to be correct about things early, so just remember this so you can realize that it wasn't fear mongering, just a warning.
English

@jonbaltz @lthomasnews Yes, but it's just fear mongering until then. They're running warehouse shows and fighters are mocking the idea of fighting for their belts. There is no indication that they have significant public interest to this point. They could be successful, but they could also not be.
English

@JasonAmadi @lthomasnews Yes I can. I'm doing it right now. In 10 years, Zuffa Boxing will be boxing.
English

@jonbaltz @lthomasnews PRIDE? They were acquired to get a handful of fight contracts and the library. My point is the idea that they're monopoly masters is nearing "Zuffa myth" levels of fantasy. At best, they might be respectable players within boxing and you can't predict establishment of a monopoly.
English

@JasonAmadi @lthomasnews Alright. They were still acquired so the UFC could avoid competition. What's your point?
English

@devpanchwagh @BlainSonnier2 He was defending himself against a dude who did the same thing to him.
English

@BlainSonnier2 Did I say he can’t have an opinion? Maybe reading comprehension doesn’t agree with you.
I talked about him calling out another player’s lack of accomplishments. He automatically undercut any credibility he had with that part of his take.
English

This dude had the gall to actually call out an accomplished former top 5 pick lol. Wtf are you talking about, you had 20 tackles all time.
This is how fans think about players in the league. Because of people like Acho, they think if you’re not a HoF player you’re not successful
Speakeasy@speakeasytlkshw
“Let’s not talk about NFL careers (@_fournette) because if we’re being honest (top 5 pick), we both had disappointing ones, there’s a reason you’re holding a mic now. So let’s talk about your take… – @EmmanuelAcho responds to Fournette after attacking his career over a Kevin Stefanski take
English

@jonbaltz @lthomasnews Pride died because of the Yakuza scandal and was the UFC’s only real meaningful competition. StrikeForce only became a serious player after buying Elite XC and they were for sale shortly thereafter.
English

@JasonAmadi @lthomasnews Yes, that's exactly what happened in MMA. Zuffa purchased Pride/Strikeforce and then locked up the best talent in restrictive contracts.
Short order? No, it will take years.
English

@jonbaltz @lthomasnews That's not what happened with MMA and these aren't even the same people who were involved in that. But I just want official stances on this so we can revisit it later. The take is that Zuffa Boxing will be incredibly popular and the market leader in short order, right?
English

@JasonAmadi @lthomasnews Yes. Because TKO will monopolize boxing and there will be no other place to watch boxing. Same thing they did to MMA.
English

@jonbaltz @lthomasnews So, tons of fans will watch and buy tickets to this? That's just locked in because of their contracts?
English

@JasonAmadi @lthomasnews No, we're predicting wild success because they will use restrictive contracts to corner the labor market and drown competition.
English

@JeffSpiegel I’m not saying none of it exists on its own. But you contribute to it. And I’m not even saying that’s wrong. I love your show, it’s super entertaining, and so is your Twitter. The only part I don’t get is the surprise.
English

@JasonAmadi Buddy go read the responses to the first tweet I sent. Just because you didn’t see the initial outrage doesn’t mean it didn’t exist
English

Look the easy analysis is “look at his batting average, Dodgers = dumb!”
The nuanced approach is to ask “why might they have done this?” even if you don’t like what you find (or agree!)
J.D. Mac@JMACLIFER
@JeffSpiegel I guess batting over .400 is not great.
English

@JeffSpiegel I agree. The nuance I think you’re missing is that sometimes you are the cause of the outrage and not the Dodgers’ decision in and of itself.
English

@JasonAmadi The nuance is you can disagree and not be outraged. It’s not that deep.
English

@JeffSpiegel Again, it’s more than on the board that Kim ends up with the job and Freeland ends up 2025 Conforto. So some of the things you’re saying in defense of the decision could end up being wholly unnecessary.
English

@JeffSpiegel I think you’re missing the nuance here. You often say things and then act like everyone’s interpretation of what you’re saying is unreasonable.
English

@JeffSpiegel No, it’s mocking people for disagreeing with their decision. You troll people and then go “why am I seeing so many outraged people?”
English

@JasonAmadi That tweet is saying that most people think they are smarter than Andrew Friedman. Not that I do.
English

@JeffSpiegel Among other things, this.
Jeff Spiegel@JeffSpiegel
Apparently Andrew Friedman and the Dodgers have still yet to earn the benefit of the doubt 😂
English

@JeffSpiegel You went on a tweet spree saying the Dodgers haven’t earned the benefit of the doubt. Yes, I imagine you garner some extreme reactions from outraged people, lol
English

@JasonAmadi Everything you just said is reflected in what I wrote above. There's a difference between disagreeing and being outraged and my comments are proof of it.
English

@JeffSpiegel It’s funny that people who felt how you felt yesterday “just want to be outraged” because the team went the other way. The Dodgers can make bad calls, even if they win another championship. It’s okay to disagree with the call.
English

@RucksSake @jedigoodman 14 fights is a 7 hour card. The idea that a company should put out weekly seven hour events of high quality is insane.
English

@jedigoodman @JasonAmadi 13 to 14 fights on a card is not too much. There are too many cards and not enough money spent on actual talented fighters outside the UFC. They are a cheap company who living off branding only now
