I was looking to get some guidance on obtaining a teaching credential here in California. Can any of my fellow coaches who teach help me out? I have a bachelors in social work at the moment.

No kid on senior day should ever walk out alone, it’s a bad look on the staff and university. In an age of all this money being made, the coaches/staff should’ve asked each senior who is coming to walk them out. If no one comes how can we assist. Gotta do better.

@MrsLee708 @AD_DannyWhite I think he’s from California and we know how expensive flights, hotels, parking & meals etc can be. Maybe there needs to be funds allocated for a player’s family to visit, especially if you’re going to sign someone from the other end of the country! That’s BEEN a problem…

@CoachDeeWinston @TorreyAthletics @Daygofootball That will be their school’s choice (if they end up still being in D5 after updated divisions are eventually released). Eligible schools for D5AA all have a choice to opt-in or opt-out.

@TorreyAthletics @Daygofootball I got that part because I’m a coach at ECV which is a D5 school. I guess what I’m wondering is does Holtville go up to D5 next season seeing as how they won 5AA? Or do they stay in 5AA unless they request to move up? Same as say an Army Navy

@CoachDeeWinston @caliaggie1 Schools opt-in to D5AA knowing they forfeit their opportunity for state playoffs. Nothing is “done” to them. With year one under our belt with new division, coaches will have opportunity to collaborate re. pros and cons and make the best choice for their program again next season

When I am asked my number one piece of advice for an administrator, it is simply to take care of your staff. A culture of care, support, appreciation, and encouragement is a culture when everyone can thrive. The teacher's work environment is the student's learning environment.

Teachers love Admin who:
1) Jump in to help
2) Really listen
3) Present: in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria
4) Value teachers' time
5) Support/encourage them
6) Respect /value them
7) Have their back
8) Appreciate them
9) Seek input/feedback
10) See them as human 1st.
