New from me: A POLITICO examination of last-minute spending additions tucked into New Jersey’s three most recent state budgets found lawmakers directed state funds to entities where they have personal ties. One lawmaker successfully requested taxpayer funds for her part-time employer. Another lawmaker steered state money to a nonprofit founded and run by his aunt — a grant worth roughly four times the organization’s annual revenue. And other lawmakers sent money to local governments where they’re on the payroll — or have financial ties. Read more @politico:

The poll comes after @constantino, the CEO of @stickermule, defeated @SmullenNewYork in a nasty primary. Democrats said they were hoping to face the irreverent Constantino, who is endorsed by @realDonaldTrump. The district is represented by @EliseStefanik.

🚨NEW: A district that voted Trump +20 in 2024 may now be in play for Democrats. An internal poll from Impact Research shows Democrat @BlakeGendebien trailing Republican Anthony Constantino 45%-44%, with 11% undecided. The poll, commissioned by Gendebien's campaign, finds him leading 49%-40% after voters heard positive messages about both candidates.

NEW: The man tearing down political signs is Dev Awasthi, VP of NYC legislative affairs at @REBNY, the powerful real estate lobby in NYC. In a statement, REBNY's general counsel says, "These actions are completely inappropriate and this behavior does not meet the standards we expect from our employees." @JCColtin first reported it was Awasthi, who declined Jeff's request for comment.
