Wisconsin redistricting NEWS: 3-judge panel dismisses lawsuit challenging state's congressional map as an anti-competitive gerrymander. Panel rules until "the Supreme Court says otherwise, Plaintiffs’ claims are non-justiciable and non-cognizable under Wisconsin law."

As I reported Tuesday: Milwaukee Alderman Peter Burgelis launches a campaign for Wisconsin’s First Congressional District. He lives in the Fourth. The U.S. Constitution only says he has to live in the state.

Milwaukee Alderman Peter Burgelis is considering a run for Congress, sources tell me. He lives in Wisconsin's Fourth Congressional District, not the First I'm told he's eyeing. There is no requirement he live in the Congressional district to represent it, just the same state.

COINBASE: "As the Third Circuit held, state enforcement that seeks to prohibit prediction markets - like Wisconsin's lawsuit today against Coinbase and others - 'is exactly the patchwork that Congress replaced wholecloth by creating the CFTC,'"says @coinbase's @iampaulgrewal.

Just in: Wisconsin DOJ is suing Kalshi, Robinhood, Coinbase, Polymarket, Crypto.com, and their affiliates. State says it wants to "halt their alleged facilitation of illegal sports betting, a form of unlawful commercial gambling, in Wisconsin."

Kalshi: "As other courts have recognized, Kalshi is a regulated, nationwide exchange for real-world events, and it is subject to exclusive federal jurisdiction. It's very different from what state-regulated sportsbooks and casinos offer their customers."

Wisconsin, be smart about which accounts you listen to on this platform. Lots of insanity on social media, nothing new there.. however, I implore you to stop genuflecting at the altar of cartoonish creatures who threaten to physically harm others, or demand change/resignation (quite literally from anyone & everyone including POTUS all the way down) when they themselves have zero connection to any movement, and refuse to participate in any function of change in the state. They don't speak with moral clarity, typically non-sequitur hyperbolic rants.. screaming at anyone with a pulse.. (unless they threaten to take that from others too). Yes change needs to occur. Yes certain people are obstructionists and won't get out of the way. Yes certain conservatives are better at making war than peace with those in their own party. Yes the legislature needs to pass quality reforms like getting rid of the billionaire loophole they created 11 years ago, among a litany of other issues.. There are quality platforms out there. Please use your best judgment to seek the truth.. Thank you for your attention to this matter. #forward

Another part of the fight is how much taxes and benefits would add when factoring in the raises: -Milwaukee Public Schools estimates 53%, based on experience and experts -MTEA union says that is a gross overstatement, instead estimating 17%

Both MPS & the MTEA union agree on a 2.63% cost-of-living raise. That’s the maximum allowed under ACT 10. The fight is when the raises will start: -The union wants July 2026 -MPS has three options, but the full raises wouldn’t start until January 2027

I can confirm Milwaukee Alderman Peter Burgelis is considering running for Congress. But, does he actually live in Wisconsin's First Congressional District?
