I feel a need to comment seeing this explode on Twitter this morning and again this is NOT about politics for me, this is about service. I HATE politics. 😡 Fred Thomas is an ex Royal but served for 7 years and left in the last year….so 2016-2023??? There has been very little combat within that time, he wears a Queens platinum jubilee and Kings coronation medal. He may have been attached to SFSG but that is NOT special forces, just ask anyone who has completed selection trust me….I’ve seen and read interviews where he fails to correct people who assume he was special forces. This is very insulting to those who have served in combat or on SF. We should all be extremely proud of anytime in the service if we have served, but we should never lie about it or elevate it to win favour. Whether the press are the main culprits or not, he has a voice and could quite easily correct this narrative if he wishes too, but for me this says a lot about his character. Open to be corrected by anyone who has served along side him of course. Just my initial thoughts.

@JasonGillard10 @BeattieDoug You’re lucky Jason. I hadn’t realised the delays - mine due end May, first available in NI is 9 August!! So what are the concessions which are going to be made regarding a driving a vehicle without necessary documentation when it’s of no fault of ours??
