Self-talk strategies:
If you need confidence, talk to yourself the way you would talk to a friend.
If you need persistence, talk to yourself the way you would talk to a student.
If you need patience, talk to yourself the way you would talk to a child."

@BBallImmersion We have also worked hard to work in partnership with our coaches & parents educating everyone on psychological impact of sport.
Basketball needs to be fun & healthy experience for all involved .
We also have had to acknowledge that this is not what everyone wants in a club
English

@BBallImmersion It has started with building schedules around finding or creating meaningful competition.

@coachk424 A5: Helping them make connections. Asking them why we are forcing base? What happens when we do that effectively? What are other teams hoping by forcing us to the baseline?

@coachk424 A4: When watching film, I want to ask questions that put the onus on the athlete in a non-judgmental way.
What did you see? What are the options you had other than the one you chose? Would you do the same thing next time?

Q4: Alignment
Take us through a film session with your team.
Use better questions to create better results.
Use A4 & #ecRACAchat in your answers.

English

@coachk424 A3: We design practices to mirror what is happening in games. We replicate the advantages and rotations that we will see in games. How can we become more effective at attacking the rotations and coverages we see regularly. #ecRACAchat
English

Q3: Clarity
Practice design and environmental design matter when we are combating fake fundamentals.
There are so many ways to do this - share yours.
Use A3 & #ecRACAchat in your answers.

English

@coachk424 A2: I agree it is hard to score if you get stuck behind the backboard so we teach go base and try to come back to the middle. Read the defender and react accordingly.

Q2: Awareness
Limiting baseline drives is going to help your offensive attack be more efficient.
Alternatives exist - cues help!
Use A2 & #ecRACAchat in your answers.

English

@coachk424 A1: On Offense we don't really prioritize the baseline drive but we don't limit players from attack there if an opportunity exists. Especially off a kick, swing, swing, where they can attack a closeout. We want paint touches.
