I learned this technique over 20 years ago from Reggie Smith that Albert discovered. Too many false teachings, the back elbow should come down first before the hands. Sadaharu Oh taught Reggie in 1982 to bring your elbow to your belly button- This has helped so many players.

@TphamLV Spin. Ideal window is 1500-2500rpm. One probably had very low spin rate (think knuckleball) therefore the ball doesn’t carry.

THE PERFECT DOUBLE-CUT requires a less than perfect throw from the outfielder. When both cutoff men recognize a throw that’s too high (need to leave their feet to catch) or too low, the trail can should take over the relay. Done right, poetry in motion:

It will b interesting to see the strategy w/ runner @ 2B in extras for the ‘20 #MLB season. If UR the opposing team wouldn’t it be in UR best interest BB the 1st batter of the inning. Since home team has last ab’s, runner @ 1B wouldn’t necessarily matter. Set up for double play.
