The takes on Odegaard have been awful. There’s honestly no common sense left in these takes. People reaching for anything just to criticize.
He’s the most important player in this team. When he plays, we are a completely different side. When he doesn’t, it shows immediately. That’s not opinion, that’s reality.
Slandering him at this point just makes no sense.
Full slate of Premier League wage bills from 2024-25 here, and pertinent following yesterday
Arsenal wages up this year but total bill £121m (25%) lower than Man City last season once latter's costs outside #MCFC entity included (note: #MCFC includes lots more admin staff)
So that’s a red card not given, a winning goal that should have been chalked off and a foul on the edge of the box not given. Quite the three no-card trick from Taylor and his accomplices. But let’s all make it about a “headbutt” that even Haaland didn’t think was an issue. 🔴⚪️
I genuinely wonder what the media outputs like Sky, TNT & co would be saying if it was Arsenal with 115 charges against us & we’d just spunked another £100m in January to turn the title race on its head? Because not one single media outlet I have seen, mentions it about City. 🤔
Had Havertz been fit all season, it would have been interesting to see how many times he started ahead of Gyökeres.
It’s not to discredit the Swede, he has 18 goals which represents a solid return for his first season.
But we seem to have to either prioritise the ‘finisher’, making us far less effective in the build up & offensively in general.
Or go with the facilitator who is never going to be the ruthless goalscorer we dream of.
I guess we’ll never know who would have played and when but going forwards, it’s Kai up front from the start for me because I think that benefits the team more.
For those that dont know. This is exactly why Guardiaola and Rodri spoke so strongly against the refs when decisions were not going their way earlier in teh season. That Khusanve challenge was a clear red and the winning goal could have been disallowed for a foul. @FA_PGMOL
Why Arsenal's recruitment last summer should be under microscope... the spending was huge, the results have been mixed. City's deals in Jan - Guehi and Semenyo - were game changers and good value. Andrea Berta's first summer very hit and miss football.london/arsenal-fc/new…
Erling Haaland pulled Gabriel with both hands before scoring, why didn’t VAR intervene?
Khusanov fouled Havertz as the last man, yet no foul was given. How are these decisions being justified @FA_PGMOL
I know I shouldn't be shocked, but I am at the complete bias on show here by Anthony Taylor on the pitch, Mike Dean in the studio & the pundits especially that twat Neville.
The love in for City is insane it's like all the impending charges are just a fantasy, it's embarrassing.
O’Reilly sums up Guardiola’s edge. What a player, leading a title charge aged 21, bespoke position, homegrown, humanising a project. Oh, and it kind of is a choke now
