Some of you may not want to hear this, but I don't think Massie should run for president in 2028. Congressmen have almost zero change of winning the Presidency without being a Senator or Governor first. He should focus on building a bigger platform first. Am I wrong?

"What about Trump!" He was a global brand with worldwide name recognition and the ability to self fund his 2016 campaign. "What about George Bush Sr.!" Oh you mean the former head of the CIA and VP of Ronald Reagan? The exceptions prove the rule actually.

He was director of the CIA and then Vice President to Reagan before becoming President. And he was hand picked to be VP to make sure Reagan didn't go off the rails. And to make double sure, they attempted an assassination on Reagan so he knew who was in charge. Anyway, Bush Sr. had some advantages.

With this contentious primary ended, I hope Republicans can once again unite the fragile coalition that has given us the opportunity to save America with a very narrow majority. Brutal truth for some of Thomas Massie’s supporters: I hosted fundraising spaces for Thomas, donated to him, and stood up for him through the end, even when I disagreed with him over the last six months. Taking your ball and going home doesn’t help Thomas or the movement.

@JulieBorowski Massie is smart enough to know what would be required of him to go along to get along. He would have had to compromise his integrity to do so. He knew the cost and leaves Congress with his integrity intact. Worth it.

I've been a long time supporter of Thomas Massie. He has a solid voting record. I'm sad to lose him in Congress, but not surprised. His recent messaging is not in line with the average Kentucky GOP primary voter. They generally love Trump, have a favorable opinion of Israel due to religious reasons, and are not obsessed with the Epstein files. Maybe Thomas Massie didn't want to win? Maybe he's sick of Congress- wouldn't blame him. He has, apparently, gained a huge new fan base online. I'm sure he knows he can monetize that as a political commentator. But he's in a weird position. It seems like most of his new fans are not typical liberty conservative types. They primarily like Massie due to his willingness to criticize Israel and fixation on the Epstein files. Many are openly Jew haters, which I don't think Massie is. Many are extremist conspiracy theorists, which I don't think Massie is. These people are not very loyal. They jump from one thing to the next. I think they may eventually turn on Massie when he's not "based" enough for them. We'll see what happens. Just sad to lose one of the best pro-liberty congressman and gain a likely war hawk in his place.

It’s a shame that people blew up friendships over this election. I can’t imagine ever doing so. We are all going to be around for a long time, or at least I hope so. Nuking each other is so counter productive.
