Some heroes are powered by strength. Hal Jordan is powered by will… and maybe just a little bit by his inability to back down from a challenge. I can't wait for a whole new audience to meet him in LANTERNS (and yes, Kyle Chandler was born to wear that ring). Hal made his comic debut on this day in SHOWCASE #22, written by John Broome, with pencils by Gil Kane and inks by Joe Giella.
