i’m honestly still struggling to make sense of why rick rubin said yes to the polymarket ad. yes, it was an incredible creative video, but it goes against my mental model of who he is. im trying to understand: what series of life events caused him to think that would be a consistent and coherent act with his ethos? is this just a mercenary decision? how do i square this circle, what am i missing in my understanding of the world, polymarket and rick rubin (not particularly interested in arguments legitimising polymarket, my assumed premise is that polymarket as a brand is not consistent with rick rubin’s previously stated ethos)

@_AlexHirsch @ant_twig @jessesingal oh what melodrama. this isn’t a matter of disrespect to storyboard artists. in live action media, a lot of productions use stock images as is to simply demonstrate blocking and shot comp. there’s hardly a difference in that and using ai to move on to the next step

@_AlexHirsch @ant_twig @jessesingal in animation, storyboards are clearly the backbone of an entire production so I get your concern there. storyboard artists are deeply involved in the story telling a24 mostly makes live-action films where storyboards are often a planning/previs tool for specific sequences
