The "single largest EV truck deployment", i.e. the WattEV order of 370 #Tesla Semi's is not a market confirmation of competitiveness or adoption. It's the largest "Tax-payer subsidized market equalization" you will probably ever see for EV's under Trump.
Here's the math and who to thank. @GavinNewsom has the troll of year by making "I did that" stickers for each of these 300 trucks to be placed.

I have released a full analysis of the #Tesla Semi. This is a detailed report over 3 posts analyzing the cost and potential vs. diesel.
The conclusions:
Tesla potentially can match diesel on a small portion of the US market - my estimation about 20-25k units/year.
This is only in specific regions, not the majority of the US and only in specific use cases (eg. 6 trucks : 1 charger) and mainly on the cheaper Standard range.
I believe in order to open a broader market, Tesla will need to improve the price/lease of the truck and needs to consider charging subsidies (like done on cars).
They have over-estimated the market and will struggle to keep the plant running at the reported capacity of 50k/year.
A great first step, but not nearly the prime time product required to scale.

A crisis communication PR firm that said to be working for $NKLA has now reached out to me to say that Girsky is still CEO.
They say that they can't comment on the rumor of bankruptcy filings.

A source (a new source can't confirm but has some credibility) says Nikola CEO Stephen Girsky is out, and the bankruptcy filing is already in the hands of lawyers. More employees are being let go. I reached out to Girsky, but he didn't respond. The company has been radio silent for weeks now. It is behind on filing its production/delivery numbers. A drove flyover of the factory last week showed still over a hundred trucks sitting in the dust without batteries. It looks like it is over. This is not financial advise, but I wouldn't be shocked if the next week or so prove to be the last chance to get out of $NKLA.

Like I said, the source was unconfirmed and Girsky was not responding, which is why I tweeted rather than writing an article about this, but I don't give more value to what Nikola/PR firm says.
These guys have lied too many times to be taken seriously, and they are purposely not sharing production and delivery results for Q4.
