@ChrisO_wiki A dictator led command economy will never innovate like a democratic one. Russia has 'mass' on its side but its going to lose the technology battle in a big way.

@CirkinAmerika They don't have to. Nothing to stop them covering up. Of course, sponsorship / crowds would likely reduce in response. Not saying its right, but the truth is the truth 🤷‍♂️

@BenGrahamUK @LeeAndersonMP_ Absolute rubbish. Its very strange that Reform thinks there are votes in dissing Ukraine! I suspect this is to keep the Russian money flowing into Reform coffers.

@LeeAndersonMP_ Its the fact that it was literally the first think Reform did! Not a great look for a party that has questions to answer around Russian influence / money.

@DPJHodges Well, what goes around and all that! Starmer has shown himself to be perfectly capable of disloyalty himself.

Further on Keir Starmer and departure timetable: * Team Burnham want him to wait until AFTER the by-election. They worry it would undermine their “Vote Andy to get rid of Starmer” message * Starmer remains furious at perceived cabinet betrayal. Believes Ministers who have been publicly supportive have secretly been sending their SPADs to lobby MPs to call for him to stand down * Is especially angry at Shabana Mahmood and her close friend Josh Simons

@drchrisnewton Yeah, I think the point here is that it was their first instinct to take the flag down. For a party that has some questions to answer about Russian influence / money it's at best a 'bad look' and at worst ............. 🤔

Btw - I've been a passionate supporter of Ukraine from the start. I'd much rather our govt projects strength and continue to supply Ukraine with weapons than councils flying flags which doesn't achieve anything.

@russellquirk Its interesting though that it was such a priority. Not a good look when there are suspicions about Tice and Farage and Russia.

James, I know it may be difficult for you to find your way to Essex even though you’re supposed to be an Essex MP, however Essex is in England, not Eastern Europe. That’s why we will only fly the Union flag, the Cross of St George, the Essex County flag and Essex military flags outside our civic building. This stuff is not difficult.
James Cleverly🇬🇧@JamesCleverly

One of the first decisions made by Essex Reform was to remove the Ukrainian flag from County Council HQ. Let that sink in. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@BohuslavskaKate AfD is funded by ruzzia, so her stance is logical really. She is just being a loyal bitch to the leash holder (ie Putin).

Alice Weidel: "I personally consider the war waged by Ukraine to be high security risk for Germany. You can’t keep poking big bear in the eye with hot iron, like drone attack deep into Russia, and expect nothing to happen." What a vile Russian shill. She lacks basic cognitive ability to remember that Russia started this war, Russia invaded Ukraine, and Russia is deliberately poking itself in the eye with hot iron every single day instead of just going home. Alice wants you to believe that imperial invasion is fine, but self-defense is wrong. Reject this Kremlin mouthpiece, dear Germans, do not vote for her!

@SirSimonClarke Yes, I think Farage and Tice have some sympathy for Russia and that's deeply worrying.

Reform being so openly hostile to Britain’s support for Ukraine is one of the most off-putting things about them. Flying the flag of a free and sovereign Ukraine is a mark of our upholding their right to exist as a nation in the face of the murder, rape and pillage of Putin’s unprovoked invasion. Doing so does not detract from or diminish Britain’s national interest. It enhances it. We have a clear national interest in the defence of Europe, and not emboldening further Russian aggression.
James Orr@jtworr

If you were wondering why the Conservative Party just suffered its worst defeat in Essex - and why it will cease to exist there after the next general election - look no further. The Tories spent 14 years treating the national interest as one priority among many.

@JamesCleverly What is the issue? They want to remove all foreign flags, including flags of countries we support since we can’t be selective. The UK has financially done a lot to support Ukraine so it’s not like removing a flag will change anything. This criticism is just silly.

In the last two years, Dom Sibley has the best batting record in CC. By more metrics than anyone, he's top of the tree. Yet nobody talks about him. Had a look on the @CricViz Substack about why that is, about selection, and the old battle: data v eyes. cricvizanalyst.substack.com/p/dom-sibley-a…
