@Smittt34 RE4 Remake had specific buffs and animations (knight ashley becomes invincible, cat ears has infinite ammo) on costumes so id understand that game needing to load the game in a specific way depending on costumes. Not too sure on the games afterward

Is there a reason newer RE games dont allow you to change costumes while playing? Re2/3 remake did this. Now you gotta back out to the main menu to do it for some reason.
