This was a great read; nice job @pkwestel! Cutting through lots of recent #MUFC Carrick/Amorim noise with logical and digestible observations.

@AlexVolloFPL Definitely close. Over this season though, think Gabriel and Guéhi have probably been the best/most consistent? Would imagine they’re shoo-ins.

@Jasper_Dunning Fair, but even his "ropey" is still comfortably TOTS level for most CBs, don't you think so?

Elite first half from Saliba. He doesn't even need to make an action, just uses his body to defend and keep possession. DEFCON might have ruined people's minds, because how am I not seeing him in Team of the Season shouts?

@RichRedVoices Fair. Although would say Šeško’s less used to that and his game is more explosive/body probably needs it more.

@Jasper_Dunning Oh sure, but it’s the same turnaround for Mbeumo and Sesko’s played far less minutes this season.

Bit surprised Carrick took Sesko off over Mbeumo. Even against ten you want a target to play back to goal and get on the end of crosses. No biggie, mind.

At this point I don't really care who the next #MUFC manager is, which probably says a lot. I don't really care about formations either. I only ask that they maximise what's in front of them and can competently problem-solve. This is a low bar.
