Zooming in to give a shout-out to puffed popcorn, one of my favorite delicacies. 2 bags puffed popcorn 2 sticks butter 1 1/4 c brown sugar 2/3 c Karo Syrup Boil for 2 min, remove from stove, quickly add 1 1/2 tsp bkg soda, stir, pour over, bake @ 250 for 20 min, stir every 5.

“Southwest night” is about to kick off with taco dip, margaritas, and, of course, various cookies and candies. I keep sneaking Doritos as my mom yells at me to wait for guests to arrive (it’s easy to sneak food though — you can hear her coming because of the bell.)
