This morning V&E teams along with Mines, Transport & State Tax department officials conducted route inspections at Muthangi area of Sangareddy district. HMWSSB Manager Arrested for Accepting Bribe in Manikonda The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested m. Spoorthy Reddy, Manager of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB),, Manikonda, on charges of bribery. She was caught on August 20, 2024, at 4:00 PM, after demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹30,000 through an outsourcing employee, Naveen Goud. The bribe was allegedly solicited for processing and issuing two new water connections for a complainant, Bommu Upendranath Reddy, for properties in Neknampur Village, Gandipet Mandal. The ACB recovered the bribe amount from Naveen Goud, whose hands tested positive for traces of the chemical used in the operation. Both Spoorthy Reddy and Naveen Goud have been arrested and will be presented before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases in Nampally, Hyderabad. The case is currently under investigation.
