No quieren soberanías sino lacayos. Trump no quiere ni puede acabar con el narco porque ellos son el narco.

When an empire lets a federal execution play out in the middle of a neighborhood street, in the snow, on camera, and then tells you it did not happen, you are not watching strength. You are watching decomposition. For centuries, America trained itself on a single catechism: the white woman will be protected. She was the sacred siren. The alarm that summoned the mob. The alibi for the lynching tree. The moral shield for segregation, occupation, and war. They burned towns for her. They strung men up for "looking at her wrong." They marched armies across oceans "to defend her honor." Now look at what that myth is worth. A 37-year-old woman. A mother of three. A poet who wrote about life and care and small, ordinary things. Sitting in a red SUV on a Minneapolis street. Waving masked men to drive around her car. Surrounded by multiple ICE agents. Conflicting orders barked through the glass. One tells her to go. One screams at her to get out. A gloved hand jerks at the door. She inches forward to escape a scene that should never have existed. The muzzle rises. The windshield flowers with fractures. The snow drinks what the Constitution was supposed to protect. By the time her child’s school day is over, his mother is already a body in a hospital. Within hours, the president is online, turning her last seconds into a campaign prop. He tells the country she "viciously ran over" an officer the video never shows being hit. He swears the man is barely alive, clinging to life in a hospital bed, While the same footage shows him walking away intact and driving himself from the scene. The truth is not in doubt. It is simply discarded. And on the platform owned by Elon Musk, a platform already under scrutiny for AI-generated image abuse targeting women, the clip is fed into the machine. Chopped. Captioned. Wrapped in influencer sermons about "terrorism," "law and order," and "she had it coming." Trump lies. Elon lies. Their ecosystems repeat it. Not because they are confused. Not because they misread the angle. But because the goal is no longer to persuade. The goal is to train. To train millions of people to say "self-defense" when a federal agent in a mask empties rounds into a windshield on a residential street. To train them to call a terrified woman "a domestic terrorist" for trying to get away from men who have turned her neighborhood into a war zone. To train them to treat a dead mother as a special effect that can be edited in post. This is what doom actually looks like. Not a single night of collapse. A slow, public lobotomy. An ICE agent steps into the frame like an executioner, fires into a car, and walks away. Cable news debates his "split-second decision." The White House calls her death "a tragedy of her own making." Commentators cash in on the clip, lecturing the country about respecting armed men in masks. An empire that once promised to kill for its fantasy of the pure white mother cannot even pretend her life matters when the trigger is one of its own. The myth is gone. Only the machinery is left. Do not confuse that with stability. A state that can watch a mother shot in the head on camera, see the snow stained, hear the eyewitnesses, and still choose the official story over its own eyes is not confident. It is addicted. Addicted to impunity. Addicted to the feeling that there is no act so obscene that it cannot be laundered with the right chyron and the right post on the right app. If this is what they do to the people they were raised to see as "theirs," to the face they once swore to protect at any cost, imagine what they will continue to do to those they were taught to fear. To Black neighborhoods. To immigrants. To Muslims. To anyone who was never written into the myth at all. This is not law and order. It is a firing squad with HR paperwork. A kill shot with a press release stapled to it. And a country that chooses, deliberately, to believe the men who lie about the tape instead of the tape, to side with the gun instead of the woman it killed, is not choosing safety. It is choosing the grave over the mirror. And once you have trained a population to deny what the lens shows, what the blood on the snow proves, what the children without a mother will live with, you have already buried the republic. You are just watching how long the corpse can keep moving.

Venezuela killed the US. Or rather, it revealed it was already dead. In the history of the US’s relation with Latin America, what just happened in Venezuela is hardly unique: the U.S. government has intervened to change governments in Latin America a total of 41 times (revista.drclas.harvard.edu/united-states-…). What is unprecedented however is the brazenness, the unabashedly predatory nature of the intervention. Trump is not pretending this is about anything else than resource extraction. He explicitly stated "we're going to be taking out a tremendous amount of wealth out of the ground" and that this wealth would “go to the United States of America in the form of reimbursement for the damages caused us by that country." (npr.org/2026/01/03/g-s…). Stunningly, the US isn’t even insisting on regime change. They’re quite happy for the Chavista government to stay in place under acting president Delcy Rodríguez as long as she “does what we want,” (said Trump: edition.cnn.com/2026/01/04/pol…), vowing to bomb the country again if she didn’t. In other words, there is absolutely zero pretense there: submission to the U.S.’s will is the only variable that matters. Never before in its entire history has the U.S. been so nakedly… bad. This might sound almost trivial. “So what if they admit they’re bad, at least they’re not hypocritical about it anymore,” you might tell yourself. Some might even find that refreshing in its honesty. Quite the contrary. The story a nation tells itself is not trivial - it is everything. We, human beings, for better or worse, are structured by mythology and self-deception. Think about yourself, what drives your own behavior? You have, doubtlessly, ideals you want to live up to. If you have kids you have ideals of what a good parent ought to be. If you have a spouse you have ideals of what fidelity and partnership mean. If you have a job you have some conception of integrity. You probably fall short - we all do - but the ideals still structure your behavior. They give you something to reach for, they provide the terms in which you can be criticized - including by your own internal dialogue. They make it possible for you to do better tomorrow. The hypocrisy - the gap between ideal and reality - is not the problem. It's the proof that the ideal still has a hold on you, that you can still be called back to it. As the saying goes, hypocrisy is the tribute vice pays to virtue. Now imagine you renounce all this. Imagine you stop being a hypocrite in the sense that you abandon your ideals entirely, that you start owning up to your worst self and become comfortable with your vices. You cheat on your spouse and stop pretending it bothers you. You neglect your children and make peace with it. Have you thus become “refreshingly honest”? Maybe. But you’ve also died inside. You’ve become something deeply broken - beyond shame, beyond appeal. You’ve lost the internal architecture that makes moral life possible. The little light that said “this is not who I want to be” is extinguished. That is what the United States just did. The consequences of this are, frankly, terrifying. What happens when a nation stops telling itself it should be good? This is precisely what I try to answer in my latest article: open.substack.com/pub/arnaudbert…

No one should be mistaken: Venezuela has not fallen, and it is definitely not ruled by the hated US. What we're witnessing now is a huge and coordinated psyop to make Venezuelans feel hopeless and lost. But the fate of your country, dear people of Venezuela, is still firmly in your hands. American soldiers are not patrolling your streets. They can't. The US doesn't have this power. This Maduro fuckery was meant to shock you into surrender and apathy. But the real war for Venezuela hasn't even begun, and it is a war the US cannot win, once it seriously begins. Venezuelans now need to make it their national project to live up to their Bolivarian past and spirit, and resist with great determination and fury every filthy American attempt to land in their country. No American ship must be allowed to dock in Venezuela, and no American airplane must be allowed to land. No pasarán. And if they do manage to land somewhere, they must be faced with a million angry and determined Venezuelans who will block their way and resist with whatever they have. The war for Venezuela hasn't started yet, and the colonizer pigs know they cannot win it, so they are trying to make you give up in advance. Don't make this fatal mistake. Stare the US in the face and tell it to go fuck itself. There will be no occupation and no exploitation of Venezuela Tell them you are waiting for them on the beaches, forests, and streets, and dare them to try and steal your homeland from you, if they feel emboldened by their testosterone shots and hair implants. Make guerrilla warfare your religion, and sabotage and terrorism your gods. The fat, lazy, and stupid Americans can do nothing to take away what's rightfully yours, and their corporate mercenaries need to know the only thing they will meet in Venezuela is a painful death. Venezuela has not fallen, and if it acts with determination and courage, it will win this war decisively and send Trump to his geriatric clinic mumbling about his mother's imaginary lost oil. Fight for your country and freedom, and you will win and become legends. The new Bolivars. - No one must treat the US like it has won anything, and countries hurt by Western colonialism should set into motion an international apparatus that will allow them to sue their tormentors and abusers for all the trillions they have. The West must pay for all that it has stolen and destroyed. Start working on the lawsuit
