The answer is yes. You are still a designer even if you don't chase every new tool.

React has made the web worse in just about every measurable way, while doing absolutely nothing to make it better for end users.

The timeliness of resolution depends on what the issue is and the resolution needed, so we cannot guarantee a time by which this issue will be resolved”

@Sling Navigating the guide on the Apple TV app doesn’t work when the touchpad is disabled under system settings. The directional buttons get stuck at the top of the screen. Tried both my Apple Remote and my TV’s remote using HDMI-CEC. I can navigate the rest of the app.

@jsngr @dhh Most can’t do this well. You can spot a product designed by engineers, and you can spot a product engineered by designers. Wrapping theses skills into one role reveals deficiencies on one side or the other. Most aren’t skilled enough to slip between these roles successfully.

This is perhaps the biggest secret to the productivity and viability of our two-person teams at 37signals. All our web designers work directly with the native materials of HTML, CSS, and usually even a fair bit of JavaScript and Ruby. Not in Figma. world.hey.com/dhh/design-for…
