When I say football isn’t a high skilled sport this is exactly what I mean. Dude has never played football before and got drafted. You have to be extremely athletic and strong but nobody is drafting someone in the NBA who has never played basketball before. Too much skill in 🏀

Today marks 2 years since my dad passed. The pain never leaves…you just learn how to carry it differently. Not a day goes by that I don’t feel his absence, but not a day goes by that I don’t feel what he left in me. My dad is the reason I ever laced up a pair of gloves. Before the world knew my name, before the belts, before the bright lights… there was him. What started with my father became the very platform God would use for my purpose. He instilled resilience in me before I even knew how much I would need it. Never quit. Never fold. Never let life break what God designed to stand. So while grief has been one of the heaviest things I’ve had to carry, it has also empowered me. His passing didn’t weaken me…it revealed me. Being at the top of my sport is a lonely place only a few will understand. Boxing isolates you. Success isolates you. The pressure isolates you. But in those quiet places, I feel the strength he left behind, and I feel the Lord covering me in ways people will never understand. People cannot relate to the hurt that shaped me, yet God blessed me with a light to carry it…a favor that shines on those meant to feel it!!!! So today, I don’t just mourn my father — I honor the man who started the very journey the world now watches me walk. This strength, this purpose, this season… carries his name all over it❤️‍🩹🕊️
