@PranavSriraman Harden was def a PG post 2016 (I'd even go back a couple years) and although I think Shai a SG at heart (would be cool to see him more off ball with another actual creator) he's a PG too. You have to go all the way back to Kobe really unless I'm missing someone

@64AMDG that’s the best way to put it, its skill in different ways, size and power skill in football, vs more iq, and efficiency based skill, both take different skill and no professional in one could really go proffered in both, maybe a few odd balls in the leauges but otherwise nah

Your definition of “high skill” is too narrow. Football is a strength & power sport. Those traits are the engine behind the skill — which is why the Eagles can make this pick — will it work, 🤷🏾‍♂️ Basketball isn’t built the same way — which is why an elite HS player can jump to the NBA. That jump does not exist in football. Not because of skill — but because the physical engine isn’t developed yet. High skill doesn’t operate in a vacuum. It’s supported by the traits the sport demands. That’s why elite sprinters can transition to bobsleigh — different sports, same engine — both highly skilled. Elite football players are highly skilled. So are elite basketball players. But the foundation of that skill is not the same — both high skill — just different motors.
Kyle Collinsworth@collinsworth55

When I say football isn’t a high skilled sport this is exactly what I mean. Dude has never played football before and got drafted. You have to be extremely athletic and strong but nobody is drafting someone in the NBA who has never played basketball before. Too much skill in 🏀

@industryjunkiee @Mayzomatic bronny was picked in the 2nd round and the only reason he went to the lakers and didnt get picked by another team was because they told the teams that if he gets picked by them he’s going to play overseas

@Mayzomatic His Father is one of the greatest CB’s of all time. Collusion and Nepotism sure. But do you think the Lakers actually scouted Bronny James? Or did his father have something to do with that

@JohnWilson @collinsworth55 you acting like they let any teenager up in the league, if you look at the teens that joined right out of hs, that’s only cause they had the potential to be one of the best in the league

@collinsworth55 This is silly. The NBA has had multiple teenagers go straight from high school to the league. That could never happen in the NFL, even if rules allowed it. I could use that to say the NFL is more skilled, but these discussions require more nuance than that.

@JayJaimz @collinsworth55 giannis was around basketball since a kid 😂 he got drafted only cause the bucks were lucky enough to have a scout see him play and see that potential, and embiid was the top player out of Africa then moved to the U.S at 15 and was in many NBA Players Camps, they both didnt lack

@collinsworth55 Its still very similar they had tools that looked ready for NBA so people took a chance on them even though they lacked experience compared to their peers who've played their whole lives.

@xLesserWeevilx @collinsworth55 @brookslaich yea but if you not actually good, teams and coaches are gonna attack you, you cant just be tall and expect to be able to rebound and defend without the iq

@KeepDopeAlive @Jacobtheclipper Are you new to basketball? The team that is going to lose the game always chucks 1 last shot on their final possession. Nobody has ever cared about that. The team up double digits never runs to the other end for a layup with 1 second left. They rebound it & let the clock expire.

This “unwritten” rule makes no sense Murray can chuck up a 3 with no shot clock but Jaden can’t score? Nuggets should have held the ball, it’s on them.

So MrBeast frames Emily as the one responsible for leaking the green-screen prank in his video, she gets ruthlessly attacked by his fans over it, to such a degree she has to take a mental health break. All for the sake of ensuring the video has a storyline and is interesting, at the expense of Emily's reputation? Then he does a bare minimum effort in defending her and dips, leaving her with the hate mob, which continues to give her shit. Meanwhile this entire time, she actually did nothing wrong and followed all the instructions provided by MrBeasts team? Yet they still framed her for the sake of the video? This whole drama is something that shouldn't have existed in the first place.

@HoosierFever high ppg ≠ good player, in every teams situation they gotta think abt drafting the player, a team drafting shay would mean for her full potential to be unleashed she needs to be ball dominant and the main guard like at iu, but then her defense is going to get EXPOSED so id wytb
