@NikkitaflyRose @archeohistories Also, Hollywood, ugh. Don’t you remember all the blue-eyed Indians, etc? Remember Black-face? I recently saw a movie with Chuck Connors as some great NDN chief, can’t recall who, with his Bright blue eyes. Was unsettling & just Wrong.

Cleopatra ascended the throne at the age of 17 and died at the age of 39. She spoke 9 languages. She knew the language of Ancient Egypt and had learned to read hieroglyphics, a unique case in her dynasty. Apart from this, she knew Greek and the languages of the Parthians, Hebrews, Medes, Troglodytes, Syrians, Ethiopians and Arabs. With this knowledge, any book in the world was open to her. In addition to languages, she studied geography, history, astronomy, international diplomacy, mathematics, alchemy, medicine, zoology, economics, and other disciplines. She tried to access all the knowledge of her time. Cleopatra spent a lot of time in a kind of ancient laboratory. She wrote some works related to herbs and cosmetics. Unfortunately, all her books were destroyed in the fire of the great Library of Alexandria in 391 AD. The famous physicist Galen studied her work, and was able to transcribe some of the recipes devised by Cleopatra. One of these remedies, which Galen also recommended to her patients, was a special cream that could help bald men regain their hair. Cleopatra's books also included beauty tips, but none of them have come down to us. The queen of Egypt was also interested in herbal healing, and thanks to her knowledge of languages she had access to numerous papyri that are lost today. Her influence on the sciences and medicine was well known in the early centuries of Christianity. She, without a doubt, is a unique figure in the history of humanity. 📷 © Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra (1963) by Joseph L. @NikkitaflyRose @archeohistories Honestly why does anyone care? Their skin color shouldn't make them any more or less interesting, and it should have zero impact on the topic at hand. Just because their lineage spent more time in the sun doesn't mean they were inherently different from any other human.

@mattytreee @suxfee @FacesOutOfCTX @ARCRaidersGame You sound like me back when I supported Apex for their first few years. We expected too much too fast and it lead to constant frustration between the devs & community. Games need real feedback from people like you though 🤙🏼

@suxfee @FacesOutOfCTX @ARCRaidersGame The game has been out for less than 5 months and we've already gotten a new map, a new gun, new augments, multiple new map events, new arc, tons of QoL changes, and a clear road map showing even more changes coming soon.. We're about to get a 2ND new map & a big arc, too.. 😏

@suxfee @FacesOutOfCTX @ARCRaidersGame Pretty much every big game has a large player drop-off within 6 months post-release, and it's generally expected. A huge number of people are just hype gamers & only play the trendiest new games before dropping it for the next one.

@FuckGizzles @1msdj1 @ARCRaidersGame Talking about something (whether good or bad) has absolutely zero correlation with skill level, and that goes anything. Structuring a subjective statement as a fact makes you sound like an absolute buffoon 🦧

@1msdj1 @ARCRaidersGame True, you’re also bad if you complain about it and actively die to it. 3/4 times I get ratted on I still win the fight. Most the time the rats are bad.

@1msdj1 @ARCRaidersGame This actually isn't a skill issue, which I usually point out when appropriate. We as gamers have been complaining about campers since CoD4. The people dogging these comments are campers themselves (9/10 times) If you must rely on surprising people to win, thats a skill issue.

The fact that shroud of all people is getting humbled by Marathon tells you everything you need to know about where this game sits on the difficulty spectrum This is a guy who made his entire career looking bored while destroying lobbies in every shooter known to man and now he is out here comparing other games to Hello Kitty just to explain how brutal this one feels Bungie built something that punishes you for breathing wrong and the AI finishing your kills when a teammate drops is genuinely psychotic game design.. Like they sat in a room and said what if we made sure there is no mercy ever under any circumstances And he is still hooked which is the craziest part.. The game is beating him up and he keeps coming back for more like some kind of digital stockholm syndrome

@ARCRaidersMedia Just use them during map events like cold snap & hurricane.. I've found some of the craziest loot from green key rooms during hurricane specifically. If you use keys during regular raids you are absolutely missing out and wasting it imo

According to Reddit user u/PlateKey5206, Key Rooms in Arc Raiders need a buff. After opening over a dozen locked rooms across multiple maps, they noticed the loot inside was no better than what you'd find in a regular unlocked building — making all that key hunting feel like a waste of time. With the rooms usually located in high-risk hotspots, many feel the reward just doesn't match the effort. The community wants a change. Do you think Key Rooms need a buff? 👇

Jason Schreier confirms PlayStation is done porting their first party single player games to PC. He says Ghost of Yotei and Saros were planned, but have been scrapped. - Possible reasons are poor sales and damage to the PlayStation brand. - 2nd party titles like Death Stranding 2 & Kena 2 have autonomy to choose. - Multiplayer games like Marvel Tokon and Marathon will remain multiplatform. A centuries old lock of hair, presented to an anthropologist by an Aboriginal man, has led to new DNA analysis that shows Aboriginal Australians are the World’s Oldest Society. The group was the first to split after a single wave of migration out of Africa took place between 51,000-72,000 years ago, study shows. For centuries, Aboriginal Australians have said they belonged to the oldest sustained civilization on the face of the Earth, citing their culture and history of oral storytelling that stretches back tens of thousands of years. Now, one of the most extensive analyses of Indigenous Australian DNA to date suggests that they've been right all along. By analyzing DNA from 787 people from 270 modern cultures spread across the world, a group of scientists identified and tracked ancient genetic mutations that they believe mark when different ethnicities diverged as their ancestors settled across the world, Benson reports. Aboriginal people of Australia DNA confirms that the indigenous culture is one of the most ancient cultures on earth, they are from Africa. Using this genetic tracing, the researchers suggest that the first Homo sapiens began leaving Africa between 51,000-72,000 years ago. And the ancestors of Indigenous Australians were the first group to split off from that migration. Thus, confirming that they may have the oldest continuous culture on the planet. This study confirms our beliefs that we have ancient connections to our lands and have been here far longer than anyone else,” Aubrey Lynch, an Indigenous elder from Australia's Goldfields region, tells Devlin. Indigenous Australians were the first modern humans to traverse an unknown region of Asia and Australia, says Professor Eske Willerslev of the University of Copenhagen, who led the study. “It was a really amazing journey that required exceptional survival skills and courage,” he says. A century-old lock of hair, presented to an anthropologist by an Aboriginal man, has led to the discovery has the ancestors of Aboriginal Australians. While the study appears to seal the deal on the world’s oldest society, it raises new questions. The genetic analysis also showed that the ancestors of Indigenous Australians and Papuans may have mated with a previously-unknown human species, just like ancient Europeans interbred with Neanderthals. Though scientists are just now getting hints at who these mysterious human species were, further genetic analysis could shed light on another ancient relative. #archaeohistories
