Random Take: That 5-step step back jumper by Joel Embiid is not real basketball. It truly symbolizes what a farce the league has turned into on several levels. That’s just a basketball truth

Great one hour workout. So good for the mind and the body. It’s always been my safe place. And as usual, I end it from way downtown.

Random Take: If you’re a college player and you’re playing double digit minute a game, please do NOT hit the portal! Why deprive yourself of playing at your origin and think you’ll play more at the other school. I’m js 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

@arhooptalk Hakeem did it for 5 🤷🏻‍♂️ not knocking on Rick whatsoever, but surely what The Dream did was far more impressive at his size

@Jaydav34 The league has significantly better schemes than college. That’s a narrative you’re following. The NBA creates advantages early to get open 3s and does an excellent job maximizing shot selection. Many college coaches are way beyond space and pace

I gotta say I’m a fan of Landry Shamet now. Damn I never thought I’d say that.

I haven’t watched a second of All-Star weekend. It doesn’t take much intelligence to know that’s a wise choice.

The fact that this is being slept on is mind boggling to me 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️. Complete waste of time being in Utah and should be on a contender like the Knicks 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is there an NBA team that would want KAT? I don’t see it.

Felt great to get up some shots again. I decided to rejoin my local Y again and maybe do some volunteer coaching where I’ve coached before

@arhooptalk Nah Andy C’mon this is crazy. He is literally #11th all time scoring leader for a reason and his talent was just undeniably amazing. Who would you replace Melo with on the all time 75 players list then? 🧐

Carmelo Anthony was a high volume, not highly efficient scorer. It really was ridiculous that he was named a top 75 player of all time.

Did you know there are plenty of college coaches that aren’t interested in bringing in a big man with a really good post game because he can’t shoot the three. Well now you do. And that’s really stupid of them.

I don’t see how you can’t say Cam Johnson hasn’t been a disappointment so far. The strangest thing is the drop in shot volume from recent seasons

@arhooptalk @yall2crazy Yes Andy I agree with that but my point is the context behind his passivity. He’s now playing a limited, structured role which requires him to play a certain way as opposed to when you have the freedom in Brooklyn. Different roles ≠ Same Mindset

@Jaydav34 @yall2crazy He averaged 18.8 points per game in Brooklyn. Passivity is different from what type of option you are on a team. That’s a mindset.

@yall2crazy @arhooptalk On both points, yes he has been passive not been a shot creator as he was in Brooklyn. Now why is that, because he IS NOT the best player on his team anymore. He was the #1 option in Brooklyn and was avg more than 20 PPG. Thats just an NBA truth 🤷🏻‍♂️

@arhooptalk Yes but I think part of that is he’s a dependent player and needs to be set up and the team isn’t doing much to help him out
