@KevinRWolf @RichardHeartWin But in this case or todays case shouldn’t that action means that they’re going to continue to raise rates ? I believe that it seems that what the fed doing is negative atm but the overall goal is to control inflation so shouldn’t this just means even more aggressive style hikes?

Yes, there have been instances in the past where bank bailouts have coincided with rising inflation. One such example is the United States in the 1970s. During this time, the US government undertook a number of measures to rescue failing banks, including the Emergency Banking Act of 1933, the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956, and the Depository Institutions Deregulation and Monetary Control Act of 1980. However, despite these efforts, inflation in the US began to rise sharply in the 1970s, driven in part by rising oil prices and the costs of the Vietnam War. Inflation peaked in 1980 at a rate of 13.5%, one of the highest levels in US history. The inflationary pressures of the 1970s and 1980s had a number of causes, but the bailouts of failing banks were one factor that contributed to the problem. In some cases, the government's efforts to rescue banks led to an expansion of the money supply, which in turn fueled inflation. Additionally, the bailouts themselves may have contributed to inflation by creating moral hazard and encouraging risky behavior among banks. Overall, while bank bailouts can be an effective tool for stabilizing the financial system in times of crisis, they can also have unintended consequences like contributing to inflation. As such, policymakers must be careful to weigh the benefits of bank bailouts against their potential costs and to consider the broader economic context in which they are operating

Everyone thinks money printer on = number go up. But fed will keep raising rates till 2% inflation. If they keep rising, why buy stocks over depositing?
