A regulatory filing shows Paramount has asked the FCC to approve foreign investment tied to its merger with Warner Bros., involving three Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds. • Indirect foreign ownership of equity would be approximately 49.5% • Paramount is seeking approval that would allow up to 100% foreign ownership of equity or voting shares under FCC rules • The investors include Saudi Arabia’s PIF (Public Investment Fund), L’Imad, an Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund, and a Qatar Investment Authority fund • Voting control would remain with David Ellison and existing U.S. stakeholders • The FCC approval applies specifically to the foreign financing involved in the deal (hollywoodreporter.com/business/busin…)
