@Jayoplulent @A_dmg04 @RatedEforEric The vault doesn't exist. Bungie admitted in a court case that the "vault" is just a metaphor. Anything that was put in the vault, is actually no longer usable. They'd have to recreate everything that they vaulted from the ground up.

Below are just some ideas i have been thinking up for what i personally would like to see in the game, but does not reflect the opinion of everyone.
1⃣Portal
🟢Portal activities are good for free to play and casual guardians, removing not needed, but should not be the main focus of the game.
🟢Can be accessed via director or top navigation bar but not on the main orbit screen.
🟢Should be the hub for Ritual, Event, Seasonal, and modified portal activities(explained below).
🟢Have set modifiers for each difficulty that rotates weekly.
🟢Change scoring to be based on skill(less deaths, number of banes/champs killed, time, etc).
🟢Tier of loot awarded based on skill based scoring. (do better, get better loot).
🟢Solo ops, Fireteam ops, and Arena ops each have its own unique loot.
🟢Reduce the amount of available activities to only 1 or 2 per week per category for the featured farmable rotating loot that week.
🟢The Fireteam ops can also be the weekly alert(GM) just at an easier difficulty with the Vanguard alert having the most powerful version of that loot.
🟢Loot can rotate each week.
🔴Avant Garde modifier and featured gear can go away along with the other annoying modifiers. Modifiers that make you rethink builds are better, not once forcing you into annoying mechs that make the game not fun or force you into only using new stuff.
2⃣Loot/Gear
🟢T5 Glow - Make the color be dependent on the source of the weapon, not what season it is from, also, make it selectable and not on by default).
🟢Loot tier system - Instead of having T1-5, have instead "normal loot", adept, and something above adept (similar to current T5 with extra origin trait maybe). Also, don't give away highest tier loot like candy, make it hard to get (hard as in skill, not time investment in leveling)
🟢Momentos - useless on current weapons, make applicable to armor too.
🟢Crafting - Crafting good for non-endgame loot. Weapon enhancement was good too. Maybe can combine crafting, enhancement, and tier upgrading into one vendor(banshee). also could add armor crafting as well as re-rolling gear traits, perks (would not be cheap).
3⃣Content Delivery
🔴The current 2 expansion per year system isn't hitting the same. There is nothing major about the Major Updates.
🟢1 Major expansion and 4 seasons per year created a more consistent flow of content. should have just mixed up what was being delivered vice how it was being delivered. (having battlegrounds all the time was annoying, and then just adding them to the strike playlist was even more annoying.)
🟢2 raids and 2 dungeons per year was good. still had some raids in the vault that could have been brought back.
🔴Vaulting content is very annoying, and does not help the new player experience.
🟢Events are good but becoming very stale. Arms week is not good. Events seems to have less and less content each year aside from eververse. Solstice was just do more portal. Dawning doesn't have its own event specific activity still. Consider brining back crimson days, SRL, revelry. maybe add some new ones too.
4⃣Core game functions
🟢Engine - Marathon seems to be on a newer version of tiger engine allowing for fixes to be implemented much faster. Maybe Destiny needs a maintenance period to get rolled into new version and fix issues.
🔴New player experience - It's not good. Making new player guides are good, put them in the game though. There is no new player onboarding currently. unvaulting old campaigns and adding previous seasonal story content to time line can help with that. The new light quest is terrible.
🟢Subclass - Instead of having all the subclass separated, have just one where you can either do prismatic or do pure light/darkness subclass. Idea being that the transcendence bar is always there.
🟢Make artifact perks be tied to loadouts so you don't have to swap manually.
🔴Leveling - Grinding levels is terrible(people wanna grind loot, not numbers) speed up leveling to the powerful cap drastically. the last 50 levels can be sped up too, but not too much.
5⃣Ritual activity changes
🟢Vanguard alerts are good (should be source of highest tier vanguard loot).
🟢Rework Gambit to have different modes, unique gear, there is a Gambit fanbase and if you give it some love, folks will play it again.
🔴Crucible is fine but trials needs work(the fact that i can play trials, lose, and get the highest tier of loot is a problem). There is no point to go flawless except for cosmetics basically.
🟢Consider making Xur a ritual vendor with own rewards that refresh after finishing initial 30th anniversary reward paths. Can add more to Dares also and make ritual activity. Created new sets up IX inspired weapons and armor with own origin traits and set bonuses.
6⃣Vendors
🔴Vendors are pointless right now other then existing in the tower.
🟢Bring back reputation to vendors, have daily and weekly quests that reward vendor specific loot as well as xp, etc.
🟢Ritual weapons were good, maybe bring back pinnacle weapons and make then very hard to get.
🟢Rolling for higher tiered loot with ciphers/vendor specific currency was good, bring back.
🟢Maybe have an option to pledge loyalty to a certain vendors to earn extra cosmetics/rewards.
🟢Bring back faction rally.
7⃣Destinations World Bosses/World Events.
🔴STOP making destinations solo instances, add more agency to destinations via world bosses/events, public events that are worth doing.
🟢Spawn at hard set intervals.
🟢Unique to each destination(maybe more than 1 per each(that's probably asking for a lot)).
🟢In game notification of when and where upcoming spawns happening.
🟢Actually rare loot that can only drop from there(Unique weapons, traits, armor, set bonuses, cosmetics, etc.) rare unique loot not guaranteed.
🟢Either be just a boss with designed for 9 players to fight(max destination pop) (maybe scale health to number of players fighting).
🟢Or be more like escalation protocol style world events that aren't player initiated.
🟢Maybe have end of activity chest opened with a key that is obtained from doing other things in area/game.
8⃣RAD Content Changes
🟢Add checkpoint selection when launching for farming(would require 1 full completion before available(retroactive), ok for only party leader to have).
🟢Remove feats, have set difficulty options with highest being either GM or traditional contest mode offering unique highest tier of loot.
🟢Make raid banners free(just like the rally banners are). Maybe make them display your clan banner when ever you place it.
🟢Incorporate new set difficulty settings in legacy RAD content also, and make always selectable as well as all challenges always active.
🟢Have unique drops(shiny guns/armor, cosmetics, etc.) only obtainable during active week(not guaranteed drop, would require farming). Adding news stuff maybe each season.
🟢Routinely refresh loot to maintain desirability and reason to keep playing.
9⃣Improved Clans System
🟢Add more customizability to clan banners. When placing your free raid banner, other guardians in fireteam can see your cool, or not so cool design.
🟢Add clan specific vendor(s) with own loot to encourage players to join a clan.
🟢Add customizable clan housing that can be visited and shown off to other players/clans.
🟢Can add clan specific vendors, and stations to housing.
🟢Add clan bank to store clan vendor/stations currency and materials to be acquired, stored, and used by clan members.
🟢Maybe add option to have clan tag next to or under name above character. so it would effectively be name>clan tag>title or reversed with name still on top.

All updated on launch day for the tiered loot in RAD activities. Weekly featured rotations will return for power and such. Helps keep LFG a bit more focused, but if you have a group you can hop into whatever. I know I’ll be hitting Pit of Heresy with my bud off the rip.

Not trying to beat a dead horse here, but the way the portal is right now isn't it. I personally dislike customizable difficulties. Having a set of balanced modifiers that rotate at a certain cadence allows players to think about builds to overcome challenges. The portal as a whole shouldn't be the main location for ALL activities. It serves better as a seasonal, event, and ritual activity location vice what it is now. It should be the place you go to when you aren't engaged in Story, RAD, or exploration style content. That's just my opinion though, I'm not an experienced game dev.

Tiered gambit loot with own set bonus for armor. Would be nice to see year 1 of gambit loot again if not making new stuff. Something about the wood grain look of the guns and leather look of the armor felt more outlaw'ish. Also, have rare "shiny" variants of guns similar to event weapons. Do same for other activities. Gives us some more uniqueness to chase. Can make the loot chase even more desirable and have an extra rare origin trait that drops from gambit only. Imagine grinding for the T5 god roll shiny with the extra special gambit only origin trait.

The Game is slowly dying, and it hurts. It almost seems intentional with the amount of attention D2 is getting vice Marathon. Y'all have a 1 of a kind IP and seems like y'all are just throwing it away for some game that is in an already saturated market. I know you just the comms guy and not a dev.
Y'all are massively delaying a "major" update to basically add content that should have already been in the game, along with some new additions of course.
D2 has a very loyal player base that is being left in the dust now. People built their lives around this game (content creators). This game has one of the most amazing communities that wears gold shaders during the month of September to promote childhood cancer awareness, Held candlelight vigils next to Zavala after Lance Reddick passed, Lowered our light level to help new lights make it through dares of eternity so they could enjoy the rest of the game.
You have a lot of folks that want D2 to be good and continue to live on but the future is grim. Gonna be real, don't know if the game will make it the June at this rate.
