Yeah we should absolutely Server Slam on June 9th. Cause madness, create queues, leave your game on sitting in the tower, pump the numbers. Luckily, we have two weeks to spread the word. Everyone tell your friends. Let’s show em!

I've seen (& signed) the petition going around. But I think the much more powerful response if you're hoping for some kind of future for the franchise is: Log on the week of June 9th. Dont' get me wrong, Sony execs aren't gonna fall to their knees in tears and insta-green-light D3 or anything. But seeing SO many players out there logging on to give one last hurrah to the franchise that meant so much to them - it'll speak volumes in its own way. At the very least, we'll have one more window of fun enjoying the last batch of new content in a game that meant so much to us. At best, it'll show how passionate the community still is, and just how badly so many of us want SOME kind of future for this franchise, no matter how long it might take to build. I'll see you out there in June. It's gonna be one hell of a ride.

Creators, no matter what size your community is you should have more tools to keep yourself safe out there. With the launch of Season 2 we'll be doing some work to better help you protect yourself from would-be ne'er-do-wells - including: ➡️ The ability to hide you and your Crew’s names on your screen. ➡️The ability to replace your in-run name with a generic one across places like pings, kill feed, death recap, and spectate. ➡️The ability to replace other players’ names on your screen with generic names. ➡️A configurable matchmaking delay to help make stream sniping harder. And of course, the above will be available to all players. We always want to do everything we can to ensure a fair and safe gameplay experience in Marathon. Keep the feedback coming!

UPDATE - SPONSORED MARSH
Thank you to everyone who has been participating in the Sponsored Marsh Queue! A lot of you have been participating, and we've been learning a lot from watching you all play and listening to the feedback around the queue.
As for next steps, we're still finalizing what to do for our next experiment, so we'll be keeping Sponsored Dire Marsh on for at least another week (4/29 - 5/6).

I am never going to forget when I was looking for a job in high school and I had an interview with @raisingcanes. The interviewer was 20 minutes late and she told me that they weren't hiring at the end of the otherwise perfect interview. I haven't ate there since out of spite.

@JellybackJoe When there’s no “challenge” to overcome, the satisfaction fades, and at a certain point we’re just mindlessly running through content and it feels like a “chore” as players have complained about.

@JellybackJoe True. It wasn’t meant to be a knock, more a general observation. I think Marathon is a great game, but players not being able to handle it is a product of recent games. Look at D2, showered with loot for completing base level of activities. IMO that lacks intensity and is boring.

I love how sweaty Marathon is even if I’m not very good at it. The fact that 90% of matches require me to lock tf in is awesome. In Destiny I only feel that pressure twice a year in Contest Mode, & maybe in Solos. It can be discouraging to lose but that makes the wins better imo

@JellybackJoe Gamers today are also way to full of themselves and think their time is so so valuable that if a game doesn’t “respect” their time (aka shower them with loot for doing bare minimum bullshit) then the game is bad. Anyone remember playing PvP online and the only goal was to win?

@asalisbury @Ziegler_Dev I think these are great changes to thermals and will likely put them in a good place. Now, can we add the option to toggle between thermal and a normal vision using the “cycle zoom” button? Players take off/put on thermal anyway. Let’s make it seamless!
