I knew rugby was physical. What I, and many former players, didn’t understand were the long-term risks to our brains, or that we’d be left without proper neurological support after retirement. It’s about better leadership, better protocols, and protecting the next generation.

Rugby League #concussion nightmare: Eli Katoa was cleared by Tonga docs after this hit pregame & cleared a 2nd sideline eval in the first half. He was finally pulled after a 3rd bad hit, suffered a seizure & required emergency brain surgery for a bleed.
