The treble/quadruple Arsenal talk started in January if not before
That's setting an impossible bar that's been reached almost never in football history.
If they win the Premier League, that IS a massive success. Reaching the CL quarter-finals, on the back of the semis last year, IS success. They are growing.
Comparing them to the greatest sides in history and then criticise them every time they fall short, more than holding them to high standards, is IMO just a way to deny them credit for what they're actually achieving.
Having said that, today is certainly a disappointment.

Can’t argue that result, City deserved winners.
Very much felt to me like we got ‘big brothered’ and patronisingly patted on the head by City throughout that game today.
I’d rather be taught that lesson in today’s game than the league. Use it as fuel for what we REALLY want

You don’t have to like the way Arsenal play, it may not be what you as a neutral want but after 22 years without a title, Arsenal have a 7 point lead. They’ve played beautiful football previously, failed to win things and been laughed at for lacking bottle. It’s about winning.

Arsenal need to lean into these "boring"/"time-wasting"/"Set Piece FC" accusations. Let the wider world sneer. Create a siege mentality. Dig in. Be mean. For around two decades they were accused of being too soft, now they are apparently the opposite. Ride the hate-wave.

Unbelievable we’ve won that and I’m so angry. We can’t keep making it this difficult for ourselves. For the majority of that game, Brighton were one of the WORST teams I’d seen at the Emirates. Should’ve been clear and gone. 3 points most important, but bloody hell.
