THIS IS UNREAL!!! Though this is my second #1 finish, this one feels special because of all who supported and motivated me along the way. Thank you to all of those people!!! I will post about the list I used later. #MagicTheGathering #MTGA

Joined the @NRGSeries SOS Sealed Showdown on a whim, and somehow I won! I certainly wasn't the best player in the field, but my decks carried me as I drew extremely well. Apparently I won $1200 and qualified for the NRG Series Champs? (Silverquill in sealed, Temur in Top 8 draft)

Since the secret is out, I'm going to post my Darmanitan/Dusknoir deck that can take the opponent out of the game very quickly. It's a very tricky deck to play, so it might take time to learn. Importable list in comments. #PokemonTCG

@JdoubleR2 Have you considered hops cram and the band for mid game without reversal?

@jontechs Basically, you want to go behind in prizes with the Dusk line to keep using Flamebody Cannon and wreck their board early. You can clean up with Blood Moon, if necessary.

@JdoubleR2 Not quite sure what this deck is doing at a glance. But I'm all for anything that is different.

@AlexLeftie @Frosted_Birdie When they are at 3 prizes, you can Counter Gain the Blood Moon, the you can Kieran to reset, when they KO, you can Stretcher and attack for 0. Or they KO it, then you Stretcher to take a KO for 0, then Kieran to reset for the last 2 prizes.

@JdoubleR2 @Frosted_Birdie my main question is how you loop blood moon if you need to, like in the joltik box matchup where they take aggressive prizes with hands and it feels really bad to pop a dusknoir and ko with darn since it's so frail in comparison they can just amp it w booster capsule

@jh_youn85 @NakaiBee Not sure if this is 90%. No Pidgeot or draw engine. 4-4-2 Dusknoir, 4-3-3 Zard. Trolley+Evo build. The deck is completely different from any other build. The deck decimates opponents setup and ends games very quickly. The other Zard decks don’t do that.

@JdoubleR2 @NakaiBee I don’t think anything is original if a deck shares like 90% of the same skeleton. It’s just a variant with a few different tech card or alternate engine support

@jh_youn85 @NakaiBee I already established that the combo of Zard+Dusk isn't original. It's the version I ran at Milwaukee that's original.

@JdoubleR2 @NakaiBee What do you mean YOUR zard/dusk deck. That decks been known for like forever and has won many regionals lmao that deck is a public deck. Not your original

@Frosted_Birdie @AlexLeftie Try to go for an early Blood Moon+Iono. If they don’t have a Pikachu ready, you can sweep them with Blood Moon. If they have energy on Pikachu, try to put damage on it with Dusclops, then counter catcher it to KO with Blood Moon.(or Dusknoir+Darmanitan)

@NakaiBee Looks can be deceiving…the concept is easy to understand, but knowing what to do and when to do it is a different story. People said the same thing about my Charizard/Dusknoir deck, but then they make all the wrong plays and wonder why they lost.

@H04Ms You can pop Dusclops and Noirs, or go into Budew or Blood Moon.

@PinesTCG Yeah, you can attack with Blood Moon earlier(or just not need an attachment) and also with Pidgeot if needed(which does come up sometimes). It’s definitely a crucial card to close out games, especially against less favorable matchups.

@shutterst0ck_ @QuentinCTCG I wasn’t aware of this, but it’s cool to see someone else come up with the concept. Not sure how I feel about no Pidgeot, but the list looks solid. Also, this may have been the person I ran into on ladder today.

@theinfernohippo Pidgeot is essential for this deck because you want to combo multiple turns in a row through disruption. It keeps you from losing to your and your opponent's Ionos and allows you to close the game out much easier. Also, Squak is a liability and you want to avoid easy 2 prizers.

@JdoubleR2 Why pidgeot in this? Don’t you wanna focus on burst draw, since you have also have Hilda to find reversals ? Like a squak would make sense at first glance

@QuentinCTCG I created the list back in March, but didn't ever play it on ladder because I might surprise an event with it. I updated it a few days ago, then made the mistake of running the deck on ladder this past few days, likely leading me to run into a version of the deck on ladder today.
