Took my 16 year old to look at cars today. At first he loved the Toyota Camry we looked at, but when he saw the seats were cloth he hard vetoed it. They have another one with leather seats, but it’s an XLE and costs $5k more. How can I change his mind so I can save some money?

Manager: How did he resign without a back up job? That's a red flag. HR: When employees leave without even having a backup job, it is usually a red flag about the company, not the employee.

Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.” No, you did not. You didn’t pay $3100 for rent and $10 for eggs. You didn’t graduate into $60K student debt and $0 job security. Gen Z isn’t dramatic. They’re drowning.

@skumWgmi There are two sides to the equation, and it sounds like you’re only focused on half of it. If you don’t have enough money, you need to make more, spend less, or both. People who have nothing left over have an income problem, not a budgeting problem.

I get it, we don’t make pennies anymore. Totally fine. But if you owe me $0.02 and you don’t have pennies… that feels like a you problem, not a me problem. My change at Walmart was supposed to be $5.57. Instead, I got $5.55. Will two cents ruin my day? No. Will I survive? Yes. But let me teach y’all some math… If 50 people get shorted $0.02, that’s a whole $1.00. If it’s $0.04? Walmart makes $2.00. If this happens 100,000 times a day throughout the USA, that’s $2,000 free in their pocket. So how badly are we getting screwed by big companies? I think they should be rounding UP, not down.

@Jesii_ca_M Apparently, you have zero idea of what it takes to look like this. Young people do it because they have the time. Once you get married, have kids, a career. Those priorities outweigh spending 3 hours in the gym everyday to look like this.

I hate fake “busy” people. Nobody is working 12-hour shifts without checking their messages. I have friends who make $50K a day, and if I send them a text, they respond in less than 5 minutes. If you’re taking more than 12 hours to respond, I’m not messaging you again.

@_G1GA_ Cups and Challenges are most pokemon players *only* interaction with the competitive scene. The reason they award points is so the average casual can interact with the @thefleeee 's of the world a few times a year

@BurnDarkForGame @_G1GA_ I completely agree. I don’t have the finances, the time, or any other resources required to qualify for worlds.

@_G1GA_ What do you feel should count for qualification in their stead? If it's just regionals placement, it gatekeeps anyone without the financial ability to travel from any sort of qualification. Having cups and challenges give points allows more people to compete for a shot at worlds.

@_G1GA_ I think grinding cups and challenges should be a way to get your worlds invite. That being said, playing Pokemon has felt more like a chore lately than usual.
