The children involved have not been heard or protected. Zero effective change or action was taken to objectively investigate, much less validate the voices of our youth and their families as they cried out for help. Imagine if you would. You or your child suffered sexual abuse. And you finally found the courage to speak up and seek help. Only to be dismissed and silenced further. While those who harmed you continued to be protected and kept in power over you. I don't have to imagine it because I was molested as a toddler and I survived a very violent rape in college blind eye has been turned towards our children by the very people we trust to educate and shape them to have a healthy and happy life. Our children's safety is endangered each day that the Boise School District continues to protect staff with criminal records of violence against women and children. After my last report to the Boise School District on behalf of a student, it was not the accuser or the accused predator that was punished. It was those children. It was their families. But it was me that was punished. We did not receive justice, and we still have not, were ignored. And within 24 hours, despite my unblemished 22-year record of conduct and performance, I was punished and forced into a re-evaluation for that school year. Subsequently, 10 days later, I received my very first unsatisfactory rating on my formal evaluations, placing my next year's continuing contract at risk. February of 2022, I filed a Title IX complaint with my district's human resource department against two of my administrators and two other teachers based on discrimination and retaliation.
