@Kensington_Gore @cal1g1rl78 Ah! I stand corrected. I had a feeling it didn't sound right.
English

@Kensington_Gore @cal1g1rl78 It didn't sound right to me either, so I looked it up, and it is indeed, a quote attributed to Lennon. But I'm with you--it's good to double check because memes are not facts or news by default.

@cal1g1rl78 Hello my friend, beautiful sentiment, but that so does not sound like a John Lennon quote IMHO - you have to be careful with these kind of things.

@KIDLIT411 @KidsComicsUnite @TeriDrobnick @SuzElsonAuthor Thank you. This is from my book, Olive. I'd be grateful if you mentioned it on the blog.

@TylerGalpin @MikeIsaac You can have an aptitude for something, which is great, but that doesn't mean you can't become very proficient at it with discipline if you don't have that aptitude. That innate ability doesn't amount to much without effort.
English

this may be controversial but i think it’s fine for it to require time and effort to be good at something

AI is ushering in a new generation of creators that publishing should embrace, says Nadim Sadek 👇 #Echobox=1727954228" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">thebookseller.com/comment/craft-…

@CricketMagazine You've owed me over $3000, and it's been over three years. I illustrated a cover and two articles. My agent sent multiple e-mails. We sent you to a collections agency. We filed with the better business bureau. You still haven't paid. Pay your artists!
English

@Rahll I imagine that the people championing this shit have never employed the effort, time and vision to make actual art before. Unless you bother to write something or draw something legitimately novel, it's all going to be some regurgitated version of what's been done before.
English

@Rahll "Prowess?" what a very odd choice of words. Things that have prowess are usually predators.
English

@badenglishtea @Rahll You can also leverage a financial institution to massively improve your income by robbing a bank. At least that would be more ethical.
English

@Rahll It's only a bubble purely in the form of aggressive speculation rn. Valuations will drop if macro slips (likely)
But the technology is real/here to stay. It is extremely disruptive to almost every industry. Creatives can leverage open source AI to massively improve their output

"It will contain acres of Nvidia GPU clusters able to train the world’s largest AI models," says Oracle founder.
Apparently it's 7-10 years out, which will be long past when the bubble bursts. Maybe in time for the next grift though.

@kyletwebster I think your brushes are amazing, but what I need to be able to cross over is layer options comparable to photoshop. Affinity has some of these options. But I would love to see Procreate catch up!
English

@andrewfarago Those architectural details! When so many artists are just tracing from google earth these days, it's nice to see. And of course his beautiful figures, lighting, everything he does well.
English

@PeteDoree @PaulHChadwick was wondering if anyone was going to post about this one!
English

@sisboombahbah @Rahll I don't doubt that it moved people. False premise: that you can't make art without a trust fund or special privileges. The best artists I know can make art with a stick and mud. People are making art everywhere that doesn't involve the theft of intellectual property.
English

@kyletwebster This is huge. If they haven't already edged out Photoshop's lead, they will soon. I hope they become the industry standard. However, I'm still using CS6 on old Mac because there are some things procreate still can't do that photoshop can. More features please!
English

@Rahll I cannot follow this reasoning. What are they even talking about?
