Але насправді в цьому закладений фундаментальний принцип. Солдат має знати: держава його не залишить. Якщо військовий виконує наказ, ризикує життям і йде до кінця, то держава зобов’язана зробити все можливе, аби повернути його додому. Саме на цій ідеї тримається довіра між армією та державою. Рішення президента України не завдавати удару по москві є повністю виправданим, якщо в обмін на це ми отримуємо реальну можливість провести обмін військовополоненими. Ці люди мають першочергове право на повернення на рідну землю. А держава має першочерговий обов’язок їх повернути. Тому зараз логічно спрямувати всі дипломатичні зусилля на якнайшвидше повернення цих бійців у межах домовленостей, посередником у яких виступила американська сторона. Хочу бачити реальну роботу всіх дипломатів у цьому напрямку. Відкладати це означало б вчинити тяжку моральну помилку перед людьми, які були готові віддати все заради майбутнього України та її громадян.
