@blueorigin What propellant are you creating? From what? And what gas are you mixing the oxygen with to create breathable air?

Lunar Permanence will require using resources on the Moon rather than hauling them from Earth. Our in-situ resource utilization system extracts oxygen from lunar regolith to create breathable air for astronauts and propellant for refueling landers and fuel cells. It also produces iron, aluminum, silicon, construction materials, and even solar power systems. The materials for a Moon base are produced right where they’re needed, and at much lower cost than being brought from Earth.

@WhiteHouse @CALI4AZ Victor Glover (NASA) aviator; will become the first person of color to travel into deep space beyond low-Earth orbit. • Christina Koch (NASA) — Mission Specialist. Engineer-she will be the first woman to fly to the Moon. Remnants of DEI?

@KenKirtland17 I agree. This SLS depiction has so many details wrong; I guess they got the Moon correct. For all the decades of "AI is going to take my job", I never thought it'd undercut the artists jobs.

I'm struggling to understand how Waymo didn't plan for this In my experience one of the first things you plan for in an engineered system is "how do we ensure a safe failure state if the power goes out" Is it just a case of a company run entirely by software "engineers"?

@fyozz @SNDR_SNDL The body of the connecter didn't get hot enough during reflow to bond the legs. There would be solder along the legs and the top-side of the board pads if it was right. I've tried to repair with hot air, but the connector requires more heat than surrounding parts can take.

@NoNonsenseND The intent given up front would have made High School 'friendships' much clearer. Probably wouldn't have changed my socially awkward response though.

@Erdayastronaut I remember joining FB and Instagram to keep track of my friends. That has disappeared and been replaced with “you can keep track of your most popular friends only”.

Does anyone else feel like social media companies are creating their own demise by heavily investing in AI content? Each time I login I feel more disconnected w/ my friends, creators, events & brands that I used to go to connect with. Advertisers $ must be less effective, right?

@13ericralph31 It only “failed” because they didn’t iterate on it much because they figured out it was pointless. Fishing them out of the water was fine.

@benonwine The chemical coats that are put on the metal on those carts is definitely poisonous. While cooking where they are cooking isn't really a problem. It's what they are using to cook on.

@JefeGlancy @elonmusk @xdNiBoR Yeah I see the challenges in doing that with a booster for sure. But he specifically said "spaceship" so that leaves me wondering what the actual constraints there are for doing that with ships.

@iamdevloper I was in a small company that needed to designate job# better than a shared excel sheet. Made an internal website/sql DB that worked. Continued to add tables of data to associate with each job. Created one table with an auto incr key of type smallint.

@Windows All my devices have always had related names. Originally, I used solar system names (Earth, Mars, etc., and Server was Sol). Now I use weather related names. My current desktop is called Hurricane.

@WillowCreativ myemailaddress+kickstartersoldmyemail@gmail.com then I filter those emails out. Pretty much use that for places I feel like they are going to sell my crap. At least i can control the flow a bit and not have 20 emails for different things.

@ANHINGA27 @Dvl_Brd @loyalmoses 100% agree. Because of the mass-produced garbage that has been allowed for years now, it's harder to find one-of-a-kind items that Etsy was designed for.

Who sells on Etsy and what do you think of this policy change? Etsy wants to maintain the handmade feel of their platform -- Sellers can sell 3D printed items if they are designed and made by them, or if they use a production partner and disclose this partnership.
